Hardly; I was reacting to the fact Ming seems to think kicking your friend while their down makes them a 'far far better friend' which is just down right depressing and gross. And how is thinking mocking/jeering at your hurt friend is gross is somehow 'condescending and hateful' hmmm? Maybe because I notice my personal hatred of a group means less then comforting my friend, unlike what Sera did? Yes, truely I am awful.

What can I say?  Sincerity obviously means a lot more to me than it does to you in defining friendship?  You really do seem to be taking this whole Sera thing much more passionately than myself and many others are, so I'm just gonna leave you be now.  We're obviously not going to be able to agree to disagree, as you seem emphatically set on changing minds here, not communicating a viewpoint.

Jacob is worse. At least with Alistair he only dumps you if he becomes king and you aren't a human noble, and even then you can become his mistress. Meanwhile Jacob always leaves you for another woman after you two are separated for only a few months.

Touche. But I never romanced Jacob, so I didn't get to experience that one, just read about it here.

Actually, if you look at the timeline, it's quite possible that FemShep was "the other woman" the whole time. Jacob really is trash.

But remember kids, only the lesbians have been so BRUTALLY PERSECUTED with Sera.

In Dragon Age, yes.

I mean, everyone in DA2 was bi, non-straights were screwed over by numbers in Origins... then we get whacked in Inquisition.

You clearly wanted Sera to be super likable because apparently it's okay for a straight character to be a douche, but not a gay one.

You know, she didn't need to be romance option for anyone. If straight guys had her as the only companion romance, I would feel for them because then they would have the only LI who's completely skippable, doesn't play any importance to main storyline and was intentionally made so unlikable for many people so devs decided to give you the option to kick her, and only her, out at any moment.

But it isn't straight guys. What an accident that they actually got a hero of the franchise as their LI.

How did you even get 'u obviously don't like sincerity' from my posts? There's a time for taking glee in being proven right about your hatred of something; doing it right into the face of your friend who's just been broken up with after being told her deeply important cultural tattoos meant something terrible really ain't the time. It was a crummy thing to do, As Viv said, so not the time to do it and it made her look like a jerkass.

Fine.

lol no rp this time darn

You know what though, that's part of what makes her appealing. It's like the Traynor romance in ME 3. Best one in the series, as far as I'm concerned, and she really doesn't bring a lot to the combat missions. She's unique, in ME 3, in that she's not a member of the squad, but is still important, to Shepard. Sera is important, to my Inquisitor that romanced her, and that's fine. It just means that the big bad doesn't want to kidnap her to make me surrender, or something...

It's funny because I'm in a chat room talking about this thread atm, and a friend said he once spent hours arguing with misoretu because mis thinks Traynor doesn't count as a lesbian because she appeals to men.

I know, right?

I guess that's why she said "only" here. Josephine is bi, so she's tainted.

SJWs, man. LOL.

IIRC, that's a distorted version of her actual opinion, which is that Samantha's romance cinematography is reminiscent of male-oriented porn.

Well, Josephine doesn't count as a real romance anyway because there isn't a sex scene.

Traynor romance, which was the least developed one in ME3 (I counted time of dialogues, also as the only one it lacked important character building scene on Citadel in base game), and the focus was on making the lesbian character a fanservice for straight men (again, all those scenes of teasing like shots on her back in bikini etc. when you talked to her as a man made interactions more developed and longer than when you talked to her as a woman who romanced her).

So actually I would say that at least Sera is not Traynor.

Lots of people play DA games as waifu/husbando simulators I have realized. So in future games they need to have a writing and animations team specifically dedicated to putting in as many romance options as possible. Lets go full dating sim on this. YEAAAH

Actually, since there's a post a few down from this one that states something else entirely, I'd say your summation is incorrect. Just a theory, though. But I really did love her "Suck it up Princess" speech. They could have given me that speech with her wearing a parka, and full combat armor, and faded the love scene to black after she entered Shep's quarters and I'd have still held that up as the best in the series.

By using such term you pretty much showed who you are. And you, or your friend, completely twisted my statements. I don't think Traynor doesn't count as a lesbian - there was nothing to insinuate she's attracted to men like so very often it is done in popular depiction of lesbians in TV so I have to give that to Bioware - but the fact she was so clearly made a fanservice for straight men at the expense of the development of her actual lesbian romance arc was really disrespectful.

Alternatively, people with such desires could look into Japanese romance/story games.

I believe there's one with pigeons.

Yeah, ditto. Even the sugar-coated version of my thoughts on SJWs and feminists are unprintable in a family forum. Never tried to hide that. :)

Traynor's romance was garbage. Hey, guess what? So was every other romance in ME3. I only see one group crying persecution though. "The asari and human woman we creepily eavesdrop on don't live happily ever after? What does BW have against lesbians?!" Such a mystery why I'm not gushing respect.

It's such a strange thing to do, considering that you'd basically only be getting maybe a couple of minutes worth of content mixed into many hours of gameplay and actual story. Heck if anything, it would be more like a friendship simulator. These games devote a lot more time to the friendship between multiple characters.

I'll always maintain that with the exception of Garrus, ME2 would be the absolute worst of the series in terms of romances.
