I did everything there but my DLC is still unauthorized. I updated and everything.

Something that might be the problem is this error I am getting:

No se ha podido encontrar el siguiente archivo: C://Users/Casa/Documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/News/es/drk_nowavail_es.bmp

In english it means something like: cannot find the file ...

Thanks btw

I finished downloading the Dragon Age Ultimate edition from steam. Already had an account set up on bioware from Mass Effect 2. Got my account logged in, when DA:0 is started, but every time I try to start a game, it says that all this DLC is unauthorized. I go back to my profile, backtrack to all my DLC, and confirm that all is there. I go back into the game, see that all DLC is in fact downloaded, but just unauthorized. I then go through all relevant steps provided at the beginning of this thread, and still no luck. Also verified integrity of game files via steam. Still no go.

Hey, I just bought Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition, and I can only use my DA and DA Awakening, and the rest of the content is unauthorized, then I redeemed my DLC code, and now I can download some files on this site, but then it says I need to save them, example: It says I need to save Blood Dragon Armor as a dazip file in \\\\bin_ship folder, but I have no such folder? It says when I have saved them there, I can instal them, but I don't have that dragon age folder? what do I do?

Edit: I found the DAUpdater, and I installed all my contents, but when I log into DA:O it still says unauthorized? I mean, this can't be right, wtf is going on? Anyone got any idea how to get it installed? I did not pay, just to find out the I can only get DA:O and DA:A.. please help

I have following problem

I  had boxed set and some dlc installed before and those  worked fine. Then I purchased Ultimate edition from steam and installed it. I redeemed steam dlc codes. Got unauthorised content from the new dlc. Uninstalled everything. Installed Steam version only.

But now all dlc is missing and can not play the extension. Whole game looks like out of the box regular game. Game logs in to my account without problems. What to do?

Well, I come back to camp and oghren is naked, and shale's abilities don't work. Sounds like I've got issue 1 right?

Is it normal to be limited to only one character, all my other characters (including the ones on other my other computer) have the Blood dragon armour and working shale with no issues. Unfortunately the saves are waaay back and I don't want to replay all of redcliff.

I have recently purchased Dragon Age Ultimate Edition on Steam and NONE of the DLC works. I have tried to use the Updater fix, with no luck. Every time I attempt to start a new game, I am informed that none of my DLC content will be included unless I login with my account that has the DLC active, which I have, yet its not showing up. Any help?

I have purchased and installed the Ultimate Edition.

After redeeming my code, all DLC appear on this site as autorized on my registered list of games ( http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php )

However, in game, they appear installed, enabled, but UNAUTHORIZED.

What can I do now?

For those which may have the same problem (see my post just above): I installed the Ultimate edition in a program file folder on a big drive, to save room for my SSD (hosting the OS). I had all DLC installed but unauthorized even after performing the steps recommended in this thread.

I guess the non-srtandard root folder caused the Dragon Age updater not to start, even after rebooting the computer.

I went manually in the Windows's service manager, located the Dragon Age updater, noticed it was not started, and started it manually. My DLCs are now recognized in game.

Side note: I don't think that doing this kind of stunt should be a normal operation for normal customers. It is certainly doable by a lot of gamers, who usually are somewhat geeks too :) But seriously, fix the cause in the program instead. My only hint for you guys: I installed totally normally on a Windows-7/64 except I took a different root for the program installation. (i.e. "E:\\Program Files (x86)\\Dragon Age" instead of "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Dragon Age"). Most people using a SSD would do the same.

I have tryed the steps given above but have run into a probelm, the content updater service is not listed in services.msc. I have the steam version of the game so I cannot install the debuger as steam hides the programs in a location I cannot find. Is there a work around or have I mist something.

Thanks

I just installed the Ultimate edition on PC and it's all unauthorised. I'm running Windows 7 64bit.

I can see Awakening and that looks like it'll work, but everything else is unauthorised. I activated it here and have checked my services and I've started it manually and all. I also patched up to 1.04 and have tried logging in and out in game and in here - still not authorised.

I'm a bit stupid and am getting quite upset, so could somebody please help me?

---

Nevermind, was me being stupid. Got it working now. Missed a code, that's all.

I bought the Ultimate Edition.

I downlaoded all the DLC (I assume so as the game says I have it) and played it for a couple of hours.

Now I can't load my save file as all of my DLC, except Awakening, is suddenly unauthorised. I've updated the game and tried all of the steps in this thread and another. I can't even play it logged out.

What can I do now?

None of the fixes from this thread, or the Unofficial thread work for me. They were all suggested to me by EA Tech Support as well. The problem isn't unauthorized DLC, the problem is that the DA updater, in game, is blank. I have redeemed a code for stone prisoner, and I cannot see it at all, in game.

EA tech support finally suggested I uninstall DA and re-install it in my system drive (c drive). I don't have room in the system drive for a 12-14gb game or whatever. So that is not going to happen. Anyone else have any suggestions?

Ok, I finally figured it out. If you are a windows 7 64bit user, and are trying to install the daupdater service. You must do so using the Microsoft.net install util file found in the "Framework64" folder, and not the "Framework" folder. Also, remember to set the install util file to run in "Administrator" mode (I forgot to do this as I tried it the first time. I had done it for the install util in the "Framework" folder, but not the "Framework64" folder.

Hopefully, by this time, you have frigged around with the instructions found here:

http://social.biowar...613&lf=8#542935

This was the most helpful part for me, as the DAupdaterservice was never installed and started:

In case you don't have the exact same Framework version, etc... the Framework path won't work. I suggest you perform a normal file search in Windows for the file installutil.exe and note the full path and substitute your own folders to match.

You could also copy installutil.exe in your Dragon Age\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\bin_ship\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ folder and simply dragging DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe on installutil.exe. As you can see it's way too hard to list all the possibilities here. It shouldn't be to hard to adapt this to your folders locations for most users.

I'm not sure why 64bit users have two versions of install util (heck 4 if you count the utilities found in the v. 4.whatever of microsoft.net framework). Just try them all, and in admin mode. Copying them to the binship folder and dragging the updateservice file on to the install util file is the easiest way to do it. You don't have to use the command prompt using this method.

Finally, remember, this will only install the file, not start. Now you have to do the the whold services.msc rigamarole and start the daupdater service. Use the instructions found in the thread linked above.

I hope this will help. I will cross post in the unofficial thread.

Well, I thought I would share in case this helps anyone. I have Win7 (64bit), and the DA service updater was not showing in the service.msc file after I installed the Ultimate version.

I used the beta file linked in the OP to fix it, and it installed, and everything is working fine now. So if you check, and its not there, I'd just start with that.

What's really weird, is that I had DA: Origins installed (just the original) installed before i got the Ultimate off steam, and it was fine. I guess its as it says, one of the latest patches breaks it.

I cannot install said beta file. Whenever I try, a messege pops up suggesting I redownload the game.

I bought DA:O on disc, and just got DA:ultimate for Christmas on steam, and ALL of the DLC's were unauthorized. They're registered on Bioware, and show up on my account, but when I log in on DA, it says I'm on the wrong account, and to log onto the account that purchased the content (I only have one account). I tried the fixes, but they just made both of my games unusable. I had to uninstall both files, and I'm currantly reloading DA:ultimate from Steam, but all my saved games are GONE.

Do you know of any fixes that won't corrupt my files?

Well I just got DA Ultimate edition and had a minor error but that was because I forgot to register my DLCs. After doing that, I played for a few hours and left. When I returned to play, it said my dlc was unregistered again. My code was already acknowledged by the servers so I can't re-enter the promo codes. I have searched and tried to fix it for a couple of hours and no avail. Frankly I am disappointed at how this massive bug is still there.

I had the situation where the downloadable content was showing Unauthorized and the updater service was not listed in services.msc. The methods suggested did not fix it but the following worked.

1. Right click on command prompt in the start menu and Run As Administrator
2. CD to the folder steamapps\\common\\dragon age ultimate edition\\bin_ship
3. Run one of the following:

64-bit OS:

c:\\windows\\Microsoft.NET\\Framework64\\v2.0.50727\\InstallUtil.exe -i DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe

32-bit OS:

c:\\windows\\Microsoft.NET\\Framework\\v2.0.50727\\InstallUtil.exe -i DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe

It should output a load of diagnostics that ends with "The commit phase completed successfully. The transacted install completed successfully."

4. The service should now be listed in services.msc (refresh it if its already open). Start it

5. Start the game and login

It works until I get to Installutil. Installutil.exe is there, but there is nothing about DAupdater. When I run the Application, that phrase doesn't show up.

Do you know if Bioware is planning on releasing a patch?

Thanks

I recently changed my EA email address. Since then whenever i try to play Origins it won't let me cause it says that my dlc packages are unauthorised and that i will have to log in with a valid account or something like that. I tried to log out and then log in again. It worked but only for about a minute. I also thought to change my new email back to my old but i fear that i will just make things worse. What should i do??? Please help me... My mage need me.....
