Only RtO items carry over for Awakenings. Other DLC doesn't. This has been talked about quite a bit in the Awakening forum.

Having a strange problem. Can't start any of my saved games, the game complains that they require Blood Dragon Armor. But. I *do* have Blood Dragon Armor, it shows up as authorized and enabled in the DLC list. I've never had any problems with DLC content before.

I've tried disabling and re-enablind DLC's, logging out and back in, restarting game in between. I've restarted the content updater service. I've tried to load a game when logged out. And I still get the same complaint. It pops up so fast that probably the game isn't even contacting any service to check anything. Ideas?

I don't see this issue addressed here: I bought points so I could get RtO and Warden's Keep. The two DLCs downloaded for a while then around 58% I get DOWNLOAD FAILED. Restarted game, now my points balance is 0, but the DLC is reset to the 'available content' window. They are not in the 'download' window at all. Anyway to restart my download of this DLC without having to shell out more money?  It's as if I never bought anything - the virtual equivalent of a vending maching that steals your money, nudges the drink towards you halfheartedly, and then you get nothing.

Its possible that there's some flag that thinks its not installed.  You might try manually reinstalling it.

As long as your http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php page lists the content, your purchase was successful.  The game is just having issues contacting the server what content is associated with your account, which is why it shows up as 'available' again.

As a first step, try giving your Dragon Age Origins Content Update service a manual kickstart before you launch the game.
1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER
2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.
3.) Right click it and select START

If that doesn't resolve things take a look at the Redeemed DLC Troubleshooting FAQ

Thank you.

Content Update service was already running fine, no luck there. What did eventually work was clearing the download cache in the configuration.

Check your Registered Game Promotions Page.  If it lists Blood Dragon Armor there, it was just a bogus error message, and you can proceed to downloading it.  Log into the game with the same email address and password as the account you redeemed the code with.  If there are any issues with the automatic download check the Redeemed DLC Troubleshooting FAQ

If the Blood Dragon Armor is not listed on your Registered Game Promotions Page you will have to contact EA Support and have them resolve the issue with your code.  They are the only ones who can.

I bought the Dragon Age Origins Digital Deluxe Edition off of Steam when they had it on sale. I've created my BioWare account, and registered my game and the promotions.

Under registered promotions it shows this:

Blood Dragon Armor Dragon Age: Origins PC/Mac ---

The Stone Prisoner Dragon Age: Origins PC/Mac ---

Warden's Keep Dragon Age: Origins PC/Mac ---

Collector's Edition Dragon Age: Origins PC/Mac ---

However, in the actual game itself I cannot access this. I've only gotten as far as the camp where you would access the quest for Warden's Keep, it brings up the DLC menu and says that I don't have any funds. All 3 DLC's from the digital deluxe edition are installed in my folder:

My Documents\\\\Bioware\\\\Dragon Age\\\\Offers

dao_prc_ocp_2 (The Stone Prisoner)

dao_prc_onrx_1 (Warden’s Keep)

dao_prc_ocp_1 (Return to Ostagar)

Any ideas?

Thank you!

I had the content downloaded, but could not get it to authorize on start-up.  The result was that every time I try to access it in the game after re-logging to get it to the authorized state, it told me to restart the game to install the content, which I would do which would revert it back to unauthorized, putting me right back at square one.

Regenerating my profile.dap file seems to have done the trick.

The Offers directory only has the pieces of the DLC that are downloaded for everybody, whether they have the DLC or not.  What you really need to due to check if they are installed is the Addins folder.

dao_prc_cp_2 (The Stone Prisoner)
dao_prc_nrx_1 (Warden’s Keep)
dao_prc_cp_1 (Return to Ostagar)

If they aren't, head make sure that the Dragon Age Origins Content Updater service is running.
1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER
2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.
3.) Right click it and select START

For more advanced troubleshooting on getting DLC to download and install see the Redeemed DLC Troubleshooting FAQ

Thank you. I checked the Addins folder and they were not in there. I ran the services.msc and located Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update, right clicked and selected start as instructed and it gave me this error:

"Windows could not start the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater service on Local Computer.

Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified."

I tried twice, first time without the game running, second time with the game running, no luck.

See Section 5 of the first post of this thread.  Windows is looking for the service in a place that it is no longer there (have you moved your Dragon Age Installation location?).  You can use the registry to fix that up.

I used the link you provided and came up with this as the most accurate solution

....0.1.9. Some of your DLC are showing in the Available Content tab while you are entitled to it as seen onhttp://social.biowar...ntitlements.php

This is NOT for your if the DLC is ALSO NOT showing on [urlhttp://social.bioware.com/user_entitlements.php[/url]

Otherwise here is what PadForce had to say for people who redeemed a (or more) DLC, sees it in their entitlements page and when logged in with the same account in game, still sees the DLC as one they need to pay for.

PadForce wrote...

If you are having trouble with content you are entitled to still being listed as requiring purchase follow the link in the troubleshooting guide to technical support, select the chat option, wait to be connected and then they credit the item to your account.

I had this problem and am now downloading the relevant adventure.

But I cannot find the link "in the troubleshooting guide to technical support" or any EA support chat

I have another problem with the gift package. It says I have to go in the game and if I go to the downloadable content it should download automatically. But if I got there, it's not showing and nothing happens. Any help would be welcome, thanks.

THANK YOU Kepha!! :-)

I was pulling my hair off trying to solve this problem with my DLC being unauthorized. I had narrowed down the problem to the DAUpdaterSvc that refused to start. And no matter what i tried I couldnt get it to start. I tried to uninstall and reinstall it through CMD, and also tried the "net start" command. But whatever I tried the service always stopped immediately.

Then I found the file "DA Update Service Diagnostic Beta" in your post and it solved the problem. I still have to start the service manually though everytime I restart my computer. But I can live with that. At least its working now.

Have you gone through the steps in Section 5 of the first post?  If you've recently installed Patch 1.03 ( or are on Steam which patched automatically) that might have screwed things up.  Without more details on what you've tried, and what did or didn't work, I can't help much.

If the Service starts just fine, you might try regenerating the profile.dap file, which is where the authorization tokens are saved.  Rename the My Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\Settings\\profile.dap file to something else.  The next time you log in the game will regenerate the file.  This should fix things if your authorization tokens are bad.  Achievements are also stored in this file, but any that have been uploaded to the social site will be redownloaded.  But this is why you shouldn't completely delete the original file until things are working correctly.
