Warrior and Knockdowns

The main reason I hate playing a warrior in all DA games has been the knockdowns. If I encounter three demons that have the knockdown ability, the first knocks me down. By the time I get back up, the second knocks me down. By the time I get back up the third knocks me down. Then, when I finally get back up, the first one is knocking me down again,

I am at the early stages of the game, in the Hinterlands. My level is 4. So I cannot run my character, because he is always lying on the ground. It is not fun. It is frustrating. I understand there are ways to counter it later, but this makes starting a warrior so much of a hassle to me. Does anyone have some suggestions that might allow me to make playing the warrior more fun? I love playing a warrior in most games, but the DA games have this knockdown succession that just ruins it for me.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

In origins two handed warriors could be immune to knockdown by using indomitable, so could weapon and shield warriors with shield wall and shield mastery. I can't remember if this was the case in DA2, but I don't recall having any problems in 2 with knockdowns.

I do think warriors should be able to be immune to knockdowns with a passive or something in DAI.

A 1H & S warrior can be immune to knockdown. It's called blocking actively with Shield Wall.

Could party makeup help in this respect? So far, I have been using Cassandra, Varric and Solas. Should I have more firepower from the rest of the party?

I'm S&S too on my first play through, level 15 right now.  I had the worst time with getting knocked down too at first until I learned how to use Shield Wall correctly.  If you time it right, you are nigh unkillable as every attack from the enemy just gives you more HP, you still can get knocked back but I don't think you can get knocked down when Shield Wall is active.  You just have to get used to the timing and rhythm because you will have to slash out with auto attacks between the enemies attacks or you will run out of stamina.  It just takes some getting used to and some very minimal twitch skill.
