So I have to ask, should opening the next section of the map require 2 players? I was playing with a Legionnaire the other day and he constantly ran past pots, treasure rooms, and would try to speed run the map. For the most part he was slow enough that we could keep pace but at one point we were killing a guardian and were about the claim the chest when we were teleported to the next section. Only the Legionnaire was ahead of us and the three of us were mad because we just lost ~50 gold for what would have taken another few seconds to collect. Has anyone else experienced something similar? At this point I think the easiest solution would be simply to require 2 players for the next section to unlock, especially as it teleports the players without any warning. Am I crazy or does this sound reasonable?

No because that would eliminate any solo games. I do 100% share your frustration, why it is a race for some people is totally beyond me and more often than not it leads to group disaster in one way or another.

I think a better solution would be to have a notification pop up when a kick vote has been initiated.
They could just require two people to open the door if you're not soloing, and revert to one person to open the door if you are. Warframe uses this mechanic to help combat people sprinting ahead as well, and it seems to be a decent solution.

Regarding solo play, just make it require 50% of the total players rounded up to advance. That way a party with 1 or 2 players only requires 1 player, and a party with 3 or 4 players will require 2 players.

Mate, sounds like that Legionnaire has master the art of trolling other players in session... lol.

Personally I would have vote kicked the Legionnaire (and I'm not big on kicking overall). However, I want every piece of gold so I can sacrifice them to the RNG in hopes of good goods.

I'd say that is a good idea, so long as there is some way of accounting for when you are soloing, or the other three players are all dead.

Chests I could understand, but I hate when players hold up the whole team just so they can go searching for pots to break. In the time you waste trying to break and loot every pot I could have completed a whole other run for twice the gold. So, no, don't think it should require two people.

And yet if done properly two players can search and the other two can teleport them when done. Besides, if Bioware ever fixes the pots the runs will speed up anyway; most of the time wasted is spent breaking the pots over and over again. I'm just pointing out that this is intended to be a group game so regardless of how you want to play, your decision alone should not affect everyone.

Actually I did have a group that did that, and it worked out well. It's the first time I was in a group that did that, however, so if that's the only option then the mechanics of the game will have to enforce it, which I don't see happening. Especially considering there are a lot of players like myself who only ever PuG. My friends are all night owls, they're usually starting their sessions when I'm going to bed, so I get to play with random people only, and they are seldom so coordinated.

This is sheer and utter nonsense, total bull. It takes about 2 seconds to get those pots and the extra gold adds up meanwhile you have run off to get the level done and the result is a dead group. Other than round 5, the way wipes happen in this game is when the team gets spread out (normally because one hero runs ahead to the next spawn).
