There are surely some good holiday sales on XBOX One's coming up, but I've been extremely leery about getting one because of the small 500 GB hard drive.  I know there's one call of duty 1 TB xbox, but I don't play those games, so its a waste.  I've heard suggestion that you can attach an external hard drive, but I'm worried that it won't perform like an installed HD.

Therefore, I'd love the groups' opinion on whether getting a good holiday deal on a xbox one with a 500gb or waiting until they are produced more mainstream with a 1TB or higher?  Personally, there's not much game-wise pushing me to a new console now, so I can easily wait.  If the external option makes that wait needless, I may just take advantage of the good deal. Thanks.

Can't you just open the console and replace the drive? Youtube is your friend

I don't know what speed the internal hard drive is. But I'd wager that it's 7200 RPM, and you wouldn't lose anything by connecting an external drive that was 7200 RPM or faster.
