Is there a way to import your custom made Inquisitor into the character creator? I ask because I just finished the game with my Male Elf and whenever I go to make a new game it loads while saying something along the lines of "Downloading Character Data from Dragon Age Keep". It didn't say that when I first made my character in the beginning and it says it before I even pick a race, so surely if it's looking for character data synced to my account it should be able to import him? (Think Mass Effect, restarting the game after you finish it as your same customized character)

That's too much to hope for, but probably they did implement some sort of NG+ (or a decent way to replay SAME character model, at least).

Let us know how it works, ok?

The very thought that one day I'll have to spend 2+ more hours in CC recreating the face (and failing, of course) terrifies me.

This should could easily be fixed if the characters could access to each class, there are various games out there where you can access each class on teh same character, you need to be out of combat to do so, and changing class will put you on the level you have on thet class, let's say you start as Mage, you equip a Warrior weapon and you will become a Warrior lvl1, unless obviously you already leveld it up, so you would go back to whatever that class level you have so you can proceed to level it more.

Same for saving character appearance, some games out there have this as well.

Anyway, we should be able to use the same character appearance on other playthroughs, like already said, we could spend horus recreating our characters and that's not motivating at all.

Personally i'm not playing another campaign because i don't want to go through the CC again just to make something near what i had before, as i only saved a few settings with screenshots.

Is it confirmed then that we don't have an option to replay same character \ reuse same model without 3rd party save editors? Same as with DAO\DA2?

I've been trying - looked through files, console commands, Googled everything I possibly could, to no avail. It seems you can't import an Inquisitor just yet, hopefully that'll be something they add.

I've already spent three hours trying to recreate my Inquisitor, but always something is off. Here's to hoping I can figure it out without another three hours... good luck to you, too.

That's one of the top-worst news. For me it means no replays unless someone is going to make a save-editor with a headmorph copy-paste feature.  That's if such things are even possible on FB.

Damn, BW! One would think that a player who invests 100+ hours in a single PT might get attached to the character, no?..

I guess they will release a DLC for this by the looks of it.

It seems like saves might not be encrypted (on PC atleast) so in theory we should be able to simply copy the value(s) of the sliders from one save file to another, the tricky thing would be figuring out which values are those.

I spent way too much time customizing the first Inquisitor and I'm pretty attached to him now, so won't be replaying the game until we get some way to copy faces (either with a patch that adds codes, a DLC with more character customization options or through the DA:I section of The Keep once it releases).

EDIT: I just saw very suspicious hexadecimal Qword that is very close to the character name string and is consistent for the same character but changes for inquisitors with a different face, it if ends up being the customization I could write a small guide on how to swap them between saves, but I have to see if works first.

in theory we should be able to simply copy the value(s) of the sliders from one save file to another,

I doubt we're going to get sliders 'as is', more like some headmorph data (e.g. ME2 save with no face-code or DA2 headmorph).

Well, DA2 actually had those sliders stored somewhere, because 'copy-pasted' Hawke could only see his\her CC 'dummy' in the Mirror. From what I know, no one had ever figured how to extract and\or replace them.

Please share your results (if you have any)!  It's very important!

After some testing that hexadecimal value I was referring to seems to be some kind of game state not related to appearance, but...

This might be going somewhere  :)

I can't find the same line in other saves, it's either not there or I'm doing something wrong with the whole encoding/language thing  :(

If someone with the knowledge wants to look into this I'm sure quite a few people with be very grateful, I know I would...

EDIT: Other saves appear to have a very similar line (at the end, with somewhat lookalike values), but it's not readable xml:
