Problem with stealth mechanics or working as intended?

This creates very frustrating situations especially at higher difficulty where archers hit very hard.
If this is a bug, fine. However, if it is working as intended, it seems to defeat the purpose of going back into stealth.
What are your thoughts?

Enemy archers hit you as long as you were their target when they drew the arrow. The only way to avoid it is to hide behind cover.
Its likely intended, as we work the same way. Archer/hunter hits still find their mark against enemies that went invisible.

Melee can as well if you initiate stealth while they're mid swing. The reason you see it more often with archers over melee is because they have longer attack animations. That and it's easier to move out of range of a melee swing than an arrow.

You can melee invisible enemies. Within ~3m if your camera is facing an invisible enemy it will point your cursor on them to attack.
The reason archers/mages can slightly cheat the system is because the enemy unit was visible when the ability was cast.
Derp: Misunderstood. Still useful info though.

I understand your point and trying to adapt my playstyle. But its still frustrating to be so squishy and not be given a reliable defense mechanism I guess. Its not like i can sit back and pew pew like elementalists. And if im rolling all the time my dps is going to be awful.

Try abusing the "easy to miss passive". Stealth behind enemy ranks, then when combat starts go from enemy back to enemy back. Assuming someone is in their LoS, they wont turn to face you.

It also helps if you're not the first one to attack. Pop stealth, run into the group and then wait for someone else to initiate the fight. Once everyone's distracted, start with the backstabbing. There are a couple of tools to help you retain stealth, you just have to get comfortable using them.
