Do you guys know if you can have the towers repaired? Or the hallway to my quarters? Or the hallway to the warroom?
Looks like you can't. I've looked on the forums, google, fansites and found nothing.

Hm, stupid. Maybe it is a hint they wanna safe that for future DLC's/exp. Skyhold gets repaired overtime as you play the story. Seeing as Skyhold is not finished, the story is not finished!
One can hope, right?

Yeah but what good is a repaired Skyhold when I have finished the game? I only need the collectible stuff, finished everything else.
The more influence you gain, the more repair the tower becomes. That is why I am taking my time with the main mission, have two to go but I am focusing on all the side objectives now.
I'm on 14 and nothing new happened since vivienne moved in and I set up a healing area.
Not sure if someones mentioned this but there is an achievement for upgrading thrones? I still haven't seen any option to customize them?
The so called uprgades are so minimal you will hardly notice them
Yes but where is the option to even purchase the upgrades? Or do they occur naturally upon higher influence levels? I'm at level 13 influence and I have noticed pretty much no change to my Fereldan throne or any of the others...must be VERY minimal
There's a point where it doesnt get upgraded any further
Does that building near Cass, behind the Inn, ever get repaired? You'd think they'd need storage space, at least, for the quartermaster, or barracks. And does anything ever get put in the vault aside from bottles of dubious vintage you find out in the world being stuck in an easy to miss side room?
That becomes the infirmary if you choose it over the barrack thing. A pitch black infirmary with unlit torches.
My grimace comes from how many wasted quarry and logging sites exist out in the world. Not sure why I bothered claiming them since beyond those initial three upgrades there's no reason to have those resources available.
But why BioWare decided to neglect this feature? Of course they know that most players love this kind of thing...
Probably because will be a focus of a DLC?
Cleared every single area in the game, got everything ( 121 hours...).. Im near the end of my first playthrough and skyhold still has broken walls and looks like a dump... And the "upgrades" doesnt really change much..
I also wondered what that library in the basement was all about especially with that giant omnious book on the table.
Would be nice if Skyhold would have a secret or two. The probability should be high because Morrigan stated that it has a long history with elves, dwarfs and humans plus that its "magic" is still strong.

This is false information.
I maxed out my Inquisition's influence bar to 20, it changes nothing about Skyhold's appearance. The customization quests and collections, and natural advancement through the story, are the ways Skyhold's appearance can change. Your Inquisition's level has no cosmetic effect on Skyhold.
The holes and gaps in Skyhold will be fixed as you level up your reputation. Most of the construction platforms will be removed at lvl 9 reputation and the place will appear more complete.
I've got 20 influence and still have holes in my walls and the tower still isn't finished.
Improving, renovating and rebuilding Skyhold would have been a good thing to spend Power on, since by the time the games ends, you end up with a ton of Power left over and nothing to use it for.
And even poor Cullen has to sleep under a broken roof--illogical because tower roofs would be a priority, not because of comfort (although how his bed isn't completely ruined I don't know, and how effing cold must the poor lad be?), but because tower roofs are where you put defensive catapaults and mangonels and suchlike.
Easy fix: move him into the Inquisitor's quarters. *coughs* ![]()

Is it? It may not get all the way repaired even when maxed, but is Influence the determining factor in the repairs around Skyhold? It's got to be either that or main story progression.
But yeah, overall Skyhold is awesome but I would have appreciated more customization / more complete repairs. Seems like a pretty obvious DLC opportunity. I mean I know some ppl here will those their sheet if Skyhold customization was paid DLC, but I could go for it if packaged with some other features...maybe something akin to the Black Emporium from DA2?
Story progression influences repairs. The first repair was pretty funny for me because it happened after I talked with Solas and we had the fade dream at Haven and then I woke up and parts of the castle were magically fixed in my sleep apparently.
Why isn't Skyhold covered in snow? The area is alpine with almost no trees. Yet the fireplaces are always burning high. Where are the Mabari hounds? And A castle of this size receiving goods would have some main road? again in this snow how are the roads kept clear? I know magic...but that is a weak statement meant to cover a short story to move it along. We have tons of folks staying here, every space would be full of refugees, not empty rooms full of crates. And Where is my storage room? The garden pots are not enough, and again unless magic is involved, how are plants growing up there? Sorry its my day off and I have a cold and am grumpy, sorry for ranting..but at least tell me why I cant rest in my own bed?
It's so they can charge us for customization DLC in the future. Same reason why we all have to wear the same burlap sack outfit in Skyhold.

You get them when you collect crafting materials on the war table.
I'm a little let down by the fact that I have claimed a lot of logging stands and quarries that I can't use in any way. It seems that given the amount there are on all the maps that there would be more repair or upgrade options to Skyhold, or that you could upgrade keeps in a similar capacity. I haven't quite discovered how to have keeps take on different "themes" as suggested by the promotional material.
