Does anyone have a list of what runes are available, what you need to make them or how?

Hello, yesterday i was wondering about this myself. I will try to answer that.

Rune schematics can be obtained by firing up special "green " torch [it emits special  magical light, just take from the torch at wall] first, they are always close to rune so don't worry, and they can't be kept in the inventory, it's just occasional item.

You will find in for example: some caves, when you are near Rune Symbol that is on some caves walls. I found one yesterday at Hinterlands cave, near north - east way to the "dragon field" [there is bandits quest near] [it was fire rune YAY!].

Magical light from that torch [green one] makes Rune Symbol on the wall shines , then you must activate it by your mage [same way you search container or use anything else].

After that you will get your rune! [it works any other upgrade scheme].

I found some runes in Desert Oasis too, in dungeon opened by collecting shards.

Im almost sure that only mage characters [including mages NPC from your team] can "read" these RUNE SCHEMATICS  by simply activating them [for any other class they will be just runes on the wall , that looks mysterious but without any effect].

 

But i heard that RUnes can be used as upgrades , at Skyhold your second Headquarters later in the game .

Earlier it's not possible [just heard that], will try it today becouse i already have one rune and im on level 5 now, i will try to see if i could use Heaven blacksmith for rune upgarde too.

 

Im playing two different characters to see more stories etc. [ one side with templars and is good one, second side with mages and is really son of the....], one is an Elven mage [level 5] , second Dwarven Warrior [7]. And runes works same in both playthroughs.

 

I hope i don't give You false inforamtion, it's just my observation from my own gameplay.

I don't want to read wikis and other compendiums unless i finish the game once by myself becouse there is a great joy in discovering that things , so i don't cop/paste  wiki or other source here.
