All of the companions have things I like about them, but the ones on the bottom (except Cole who's there because I haven't spent much time with him) are too aggressively attached to their view of the world for my liking.

I didn't dislike anyone really, I just didn't interact with 6-9 as much as the others.
Well, my opinions have changed a bit since my first time playing.
1. Still Cassandra. She's like the backbone of the whole thing really, and she is nowhere near as stand-offish as she seems.
2. Still Dorian. His wit and flair is delightful. He has a sharp one-liner for every situation.
3. Solas. He really grew on me, he is an interesting guy and quite funny too. I've heard good things about the romance.
4. Sera. I did her romance and tbh I think it's surprisingly touching. I laugh at her party banter a lot, even tho it's immature.
5. Varric. He's an all round great guy, but he's not the star like he was in DA2. He's a bit muted.
6. Still Vivienne. I would not get on with her IRL but she's hilarious and I don't 100% disagree with some of her views.
7. Blackwall. He's just not that interesting to me now. A few good party banters especially with Sera but a bit meh.
8. Iron Bull. He can be funny but I'm just not interested in him. Zevran and Isabella did the "constant sexual innuendo" thing better.
9. Still Cole. I don't even recruit him now. I cannot talk to the guy it gives me a headache.

My list would be:

9. Sera (I did put up with her on my first playthrough because I thought she would get better but nope and for the next I will just dump her)
1. Sera - she's like a 5yr old girl with a knife. i simply love this character
2. Solas - a walking codex, use Cole/Sera/Blackwall to translate/find more pages
3. Vivienne - she's unique, would make an excellent magister
4. Cole - i never expected to actually like him, but his incoherent ramblings are most interesting once you know the whole story. shame he dies a lot
5. Varric - he's... not so fun as he was in DA2
6. Cassandra - she gained a few points for the book, but still a Chantry supporter
7. Dorian - while i think he's fun, i like Tevinter as it is
8. Iron Bull - big dude who cannot fight
9. Blackwall - if he weren't such a good tank, i'd let him rot

Dorian - proud profile, sincere, idealistic

Iron Bull - unusual, compassionate

I don't dislike any of the companions, but in order of who I like the most:
1) Dorian- An intelligent, sweet, and friendly soul who uses sarcasm, sass, and cockiness to mask his insecurities and emotional pain. Willing to give up everything that he had to try and make a difference.
2) Vivienne- A FIERCE, FINE, FANCY, FEMININE, FLASHY, and FA-BU-LOOOOOOUSSSSS fashionista who knows how to wurk to get where she is. Icy cool and guarded almost to a fault.
3) Cassandra- The holy warrior. Unwavering on the surface, yet privately she doubts herself only to conquer said doubt to rise above and get the job done. An amazing friend whose advice is always welcome.
4) Blackwall- Tormented, flawed, and damaged by the mistakes of his past, yet willing to do anything to make things right again.
5) Varric- Jaded and rougher around the edges after the events of DA2. His emotional connection to Hawke is very evident and endearing.
6) Cole- Was dead set on hating him on principle due to !DEMON! and yet his personal quest rendered that utterly impossible. A wooby who almost unnervingly invokes feelings of pity and protectiveness.
7) Iron Bull- Loud, crass, fun-loving, and unexpectedly intelligent
8) Sera- Wacky and all over the place. Unwilling to see beyond her limited point of view yet at the end of the day, her heart is in the right place and she is hilarious.
9) Solas- Intellectual, but also rather salty and cold. The revelation of *what* he is is ultimately much more interesting than *who* he is.
1. Varric - easily the most likable playable character in either of the last two games.
2. Cassandra - straightforward and passionate
3. Iron Bull - fun guy and very useful in battle
4. Dorian - great banter and useful in battle
5. Sera - loved her personality, but didn't use her a ton in the field
6. Vivene - very unlikable personality but very useful in the field
7. Solas - easily used him less than half as much as either of the other two mages
8. Blackwell - absolutely hate his personality
9. Cole - creepy looking and acting

Vivienne's only taller than Blackwall and Cassandra if she wears that hat. 
1) Cole. He's my child. We go everywhere together. He does crazy amounts of damage against enemies, and help me spy on the other party members by revealing all their secrets.
2) Solas. Also one I take everywhere. He knows everything about everything... or rather, he knows everything about Elven lore/magic/history, and everything is related to Elven lore/magic/history. Useful guy to have around. Plus, he can be surprisingly sassy.
3) Dorian. I just love his personality. So much. Bring him with me everywhere once I was strong enough not to need a tank.
4) Cassandra. Awesome tank, awesome person. I respect her the most out of all my companions.
5) Iron Bull. This guy is too funny. I bring him along for the laughs. Terrible tank, though. He dies before anyone else.
6) Sera. Idiotic. Impulsive. Tactless. Disrespectful. Grows on you if you aren't careful.
7) Varric. Most useless specialization. Love the personality, hate the voice. It put me off so much, I never bring him anywhere.
8) Vivienne. Cole doesn't trust her. I don't trust her. She's a ******.
9) Blackwall. Probably my best tank. Too broody and boring. And that a worse crime than bitchiness.
1. Dorian - He's funny, wonderfully snarky, and he reminds me of someone I know.
2. Cassandra - To me she's like Jayne Cobb of Inquisition: awesome but at the same time makes me feel a deep, lingering urge to cave in her skull with my bare hands.
3. Varric - My best boy, my bud.
4. The Iron Bull - Fun. Would benefit greatly from 'Sexual Harassment in the Workplace' training videos.
5. Sera - She's like a condiment--not that great by herself but adds spice to the party as a whole.
6. Solas - My Elven drama queen.
7. Cole- Aaaaah, it's Fregley!
8. Blackwall - Boringwall. Great eyebrows, though.
9. Vivienne - Talked to her twice. Never used her in my party. Refused to do her mission. I am constantly being told that she disapproves of almost everything I do.

Varric - Funny, friendly, and great in almost all of his dialogue.
Cassandra - Calm, stoic, well made and comes up with great humor when you least expect it.
Cullen - Has a great character arc dealt with in a dynamic way, and love his pragmatic approach to problems.
Leliana - Has always been interesting, but now has a great character arc.
Iron Bull - Absolutely hilarious
Josephine - Her pacificistic approach gives a great dynamic
Cole - Weird, but quirky and fun, definitely an original character.
Solas - Had an unusual back story, great plot twist, and enjoyed his curiosity.
Vivienne - Reasonable to talk to, and has some great snark, but a little too elitist.
Blackwall - Surprisingly funny a few times, but was kinda boring.
Sera - Mostly pretty annoying, but her character arc gave her some depth and there was some funny banter, particularly with Blackwall
Dorian - A terrible and utterly cliche ridden character.
I would say this more based on how often I use my companions, rather than how much I like them.
1: Cassandra - So much passion, under that thick plate armor.
2: Varric - I'm a guy and I find that chest hair very hard to resist.
3: Vivienne - Presentation is everything, darling.
4: Blackwall - Redemption is never easy.
5: Solas - Wisdom of the ages.
6: Dorian - He's too pretty to die.
7: Iron Bull - James Vega grew horns and still needs to find Sargent Whiskers.
8: Cole - Can't have him spoiling the story for Cassandra.
9: Sera - I kind of understand her, and it scares me.
Sera: she even has a great song!
Blackwall: such an honest-good guy full of guilt
Cassandra: who does not love a hardass woman with a sensitive heart and french accent?
Dorian: i would totally hang out with him
Varic: hawkes best friend, nough said
Solas: he grows in you as you play more and more|
Cole; he is outwordly, litterally
Iron bull: tough drunk SoB
Vivienne: such a ****** (my dear)
Advisors:
Moriigan cause Morrigan and claudia black;s seductive voice
Cullen i disliked him at origins but man in DaI he is awesome

A caveat: I'd rank pretty much all of these characters above the vast majority of the DA 2 companions, so in general, I like them all.
My Top 3 (also probably in my top 5 DA companions of all time)
1.) Vivienne - she's a brilliantly written character; incredibly complex and Indira Varma killed it as her VO; she might be my fav companion of all time, to be honest
2.) Dorian - charming, dashing, and so arrogant I can't decide if I want to punch him or kiss him most of the time (spoiler: kiss him); I think he's Gaider's best character
3.) Cassandra - I thought she was going to be one-note and boy was I wrong; I love the little bits of vulnerability that she lets you see; she's my must have 'bro' for every major quest in this game
My second tier (really interesting and enjoyable in their own right)
4.) Varric - he was my must have 'bro' for DA 2, so it's interesting to see him in a different light; his author did a great job of showing another perspective on an already well-established character
5.) Blackwall - he's a little dull for most of the game, but I think his companion quest is one of the most interesting ones in any Bioware game; didn't quite have the pay-off I was hoping for, but still a great ride while it lasted
6.) Iron Bull - he's a little one-note for me; he's over the top "bro!" with his obsession with fighting and sex; but he's a nice guy in the romance and I do like his relationship with the Chargers
My Bottom 3 (I don't dislike any of them, but they are the worst of the bunch for me)
7.) Solas - dull, dull, dull; yes, it gets more interesting post-game; but in-game, I just can't figure out a way for he and my Inquisitor to get along; I'm just not a fan
8.) Sera - she's a little annoying and immature; her pranking quest was a waste of my time; but I do love her accent
9.) Cole - just kind of a dud; maybe it's because I never read Asunder, but I just can't bring myself to care about him. At all.
I like all of the companions, so this will be tough after the first three:
1. Solas -- I drag him everywhere with me, just to get the comments that satisfy my inner lore nerd
2. Cassandra -- no matter what, she's always got my back on and off the battlefield
3. Cole -- pure, raw emotion. I loves him.
4. Varric -- how can I not have my trusty dwarf around?
5. Iron Bull -- Intelligent, funny and always surprising
6. Sera -- just because she cracks me up
7. Dorian -- Tied with Sera, really. He's funny and his personal quest is wonderful.
8. Blackwall -- is okay I guess. I'm still kind of mad at him, so I need to bring him with me more and warm up to him.
9. Vivienne -- having her at the bottom of the list is kind of unfair because I find her very interesting. Also, her voice drips with honey. But she hates everything I do!
1) Cassandra - I love the strong female warrior types, she's the backbone of the Inquisition and when she's not in my party I feel like something is missing.
2) Solas - fantastic character, I've made a female elf just for his romance now.
3) Blackwall - great character story with nice depth, very good romance option for female Inquisitors, his beard is the object of much jealousy from my male Inquisitors.
4) Varric - seems a little toned down from DA 2 but still fun to have around, loved his personal quest.
5) Sera - didn't like her at first but started bringing her along because of her combat effectiveness, now she's grown on me.
6) Dorian - another who's grown on me, I'd use him more if I liked Sola less.
7) Iron Bull - some funny lines but not what I was expecting or hoping for in a Qunari companion, but I do enjoy FPJ's voice work.
8) Vivienne - she annoys me, even playing as a pro-circle mage.
9) Cole - completely uninteresting to me, don't like listening to him, I've never ignored a companion in a BW game as much as I ignore Cole.
The advisors... Cullen is just kind of there, much like in the first 2 games. I was disappointed with both Leliana and Morrigan this time around. I love Josephine, though. I could listen to her read a phone book and be totally enthralled.
Iron Bull, he's easy going, can be funny and, he's a good warrior too.
Solas, a bit stoic but, he is a good mage and, his reactions are understandable.
Blackwall, he's determined and pretty quiet.
Cassandra, she does her job well and is pretty level headed
Cole, different perspective but, likeable
Varric because, well, he's Varric and I love his witty banter.
Vivienne, stuck up snob, but she will fight if she's with you.
Sera, too much of a nit wit, unwilling to see another side or to even learn - I don't even recruit her.
1. Solas - extremely interesting, charming and likeable, also that voice and those looks! Romance is fantastic and feels like it's the one that fits the story the most.
2. Cole - just really fascinating and sweet. Some stellar writing from Patrick Weekes on my top2!
3. Cassandra - surprised me with her softer side (books). I also like how noble and true to her ideals she is. Fun romance too.
4. Dorian - so much charm! And a really moving personal quest.
5. Varric - he's just so very likeable.
6. Iron Bull - really liked his post-dragon talk. He's a real bro, didn't like his bromance with benefits though.
7. Blackwall - a bit boring until a certain reveal. Enjoyed the romance.
8. Sera - crazy, disrespectful and egotistical, but funny and cute.
9. Vivienne - I actually like how dislikeable she is and I enjoy being rivals with her. She has got style.
(it should be taken into account that I don't know everything about everyone yet as I've only romanced Solas, IB, Cass and Blackwall and have yet to get all the extreme disapproval scenes)
