Lvl 10 mage and I haven't invested in any of the conversation perks yet, how good are these to have? And which ones have you noticed being the most useful for helping you out in quests, convincing people, etc?

History sounds like it might not be useful, but I read somebody say it helped. Arcane knowledge would help talking with mages I guess? Stuff like underworld I guess would be good for intimidating people? Would that one be good for a "heroic/paragon" kind of character?

Thanks.

The nobility and history perks have been extremely useful. Arcane knowledge I don't think I've used at all, and the underworld one I haven't gotten since it doesn't make much sense for my human mage. I'm only about 70% of the way through the game (I'm guessing), though, so there might be more opportunities waiting.

If you have Arcane Knowledge you can keep Alexius imprisoned and task him with magical research for the Inquisition.

I believe Underworld Knowledge lets you recruit Smugglers rather than shoving them off somewhere

Noble knowledge is good in ALOT of convos and 1 or 2 judgements

Not sure about Arcane or History though, needed more useful perks

In terms of use Nobility > History/Arcane > Underworld.

In terms of usefulness, I couldn't say.

But if what to get first, i will say get history one first, then the rogue one, then nobility. One does not start dealing with nobility till we get to skyhold. Before that its a lot of chantry and stuf so history helps a lot more.

I would go first with whatever makes sense for your character - ie; a mage with Arcane lore, a dalish with history, a dwarf with underworld, etc.  After that, it's up to you.  From what I understand they're all useful at certain points.
