In one of the Twitch livestreams I seem to recall Laidlaw stating that there were two types of daggers in the game: stabby types, and slashing types. Is this true? I'm a few hours in with my dagger rogue and I haven't found any.

Slashing types are AoE damage, thus they're more powerful. You'll start finding them mid-late game.

There are double bladed daggers that do AOE damage (the "slashy" ones), they don't start showing up until tier 2 stuff (around level 10 I'd estimate)

What I'd like to know is what happens if you equip one of each type. My favorite design so far has been the bloodied wings from the Emprise Du Lion Stronghold.
