I just finished the game, and while I enjoyed it, there was some stuff that bother me. The one that bug me the most however was the new Divine. I know that there are 3 choices for the new Divine, Cassandra, Leliana, and Vivienne. I got Cassandra as the new Divine, while I didn't romanced her, I heard she will break off the romance with the Inquisitor as the new Divine. Leliana can also become the new Divine, which bother me since I love Warden-Leliana romance and how she said that she will join her love once everything is done in DAI. While it didn't state if Leliana will break off the romance or not if she becomes the new Divine, I rather have her traveling the world with the Warden, or at least get away from the Chantry for her sake. That leaves Vivienne, whose views on not changing the old system of the Chantry something I do not agree with.
I don't see why Bioware didn't add Mother Giselle as a candidate. She fits the role better than a Seeker who is trying to rebuild the Seeker Order, a Bard/spymaster that people feared, or a mage who just want power. I mean, her view on magic and swords being both dangerous when one is prideful is a fresh air with the Mage-Templar War. She can also inspired people in dark time, (after Cory attack Haven and everyone seem to lost hope), something we need after everything that had happened. Also, after her help with the refugee in Mage-Templar war, I think people would be glad to her someone like her as the new Divine. Last but not least, after Haven, she basically didn't do anything at all. I was thinking maybe she is still in the Inquisition because she has a role later in the game, like for example being the new Divine, but nope.
Do you guys want Mother Giselle as a candidate for the new Divine? I mean, I don't mind Cassandra's or Leliana's view on the new Chantry, but I really don't want to mess up their romances also when there is a far better candidate. And I just don't agree with Vivienne's view of not changing something that is broken.
