Is there an area where you can see the weight of your inventory items?

No and there rly is no point in it anyway since inventory is limited by slots not wieght so weight is irrelevant.

Oh i did know that. There is no screen showing items in layout form. The items are in line item form. So how do you know how much room an items uses?

It uses one spot. So in the beginning you can carry 60 items, no matter what it is.

Get it now. The bag symbol is the number of items. So a chunk of iron is the same as an elfroot. It makes it easier when hitting my limit. Getting rid of the lotus flower or getting rid of the heavy battle shield. Resale value trumps weight.

Don't get rid of crafting materials (plants, iron etc) they do not count toward the limit.
