You. are. totally. awesome. This is in the top 5 Bioware threads this community has to offer IMO. I am so glad you got it figured out. I hope you have the best time of your life playing this game on your new PC.
Edit: I just wish I would have been a part of it from the beginning. Man, hats off to you for perseverance.

Free tip not every game detects what rezz you use so if you get something and it looks like garbage look under graphic options and see what rezz you are using.
Another free tip you have multiple display outputs. So if you've a nice tv long Hdmi cables are cheap you just run one to the big screen and viola pc on tv. Rig up a wireless controller set steam to big screen and you've a gaming console and gaming pc.

Yes but the PS4 max is 108p Gamermd83 uses PS4 and her game looks better, I run it on everything ultra textures fade touched but my resoulution looks lower, is that cuz she is playing it on a tv? Cuz if thats the case I will keep playing on my comp knowing its the max resoulution it can get for me now, but if its now, I will try to get it higher.

Monitors can have different resolutions. Mine for example is 1440p. So everything looks sharper and nicer in general. Your monitor is 1080p. So you won't get the same image quality.
However.
It also is easier on your computer to run at 1080p. It's a lot easier to get more fps (frames per second) at 1080p. And honestly in my opinion 1080p looks really good
I didn't watch the video but usually tv's are at 1080p.

Sorry to revive this thread I just ask questions here about my technical probs that relate to the game
, so in HDMI is it sharper? Cuz with my DVI and all set to max including 4x multiple antialstating I have the trees look like it wanted to know if its normal ![]()
Here is a pic:
As you can see the trees look unsharp and bad qualtiy, is it normal on 1920x1080? 60GHz just wanted to know ![]()
Edit: And if so, is it becouse I use a DVI monitor? Will HDMI look diffrent?

The higher resolution the better image quality. Also the more powerfull graphic card(s) you need to generate the needed framerates. I can't speak of telly resolutions cuz in my mind those are crap resolutions. It is all a question of money/preference and there lies the problem. Its not just the expensive computer alone it is the periferals aswell.
At the end of the day preference is subjective but yes a quality monitor makes a huge difference. Wether you want to spend money on that is a different question alltogether.
Nvidia has high refresh rates capabilities, look up GSYNC for more information.
I prefer ISP panels but then again I prefer AMD which doesn't have GSYNC. I game at 2560X1600 pixels but those panels don't come cheap.

So when I buy a new monitor, you tell me that if I want it to look sharp and good, I should have an HDMI cabel?

Honestly mate if you need this handholding just to plug a monitor in the right port, I'd take your 2k pc back and get a nice telly and a ps4. Its not meant to be rude but there will be times in the future when your pc will need more complicated upkeep and you have to think, you know, is it for me?
Or keep it and muddle through, I wish you luck trying to sort your problem out and getting the game running like it should on your beast pc.
And this makes me think that 'waiting for BioWare to fix it' will not bear fruit, as it is the configuration that appears to be at issue.
I'm not in any way disrespecting the OP's knowledge, my own is minimal which is why I have an Xbox (and a Mac for work).
When I have had issues with PCs in the past, at least Google and forums come to the rescue,
but time and a little patience (as well as a few wrong turns) seem to be required.

I think there is more to it then any cabel. But a quality cabel is good too.

You're never going to be able to take advantage of a HD monitor with analog cables, so I'd go for the HDMI cables*. It's hard to tell from the screenshot (the trees are never going to be so sharp you see individual pine needles; they have to draw the line somewhere), but it looks more or less the same as mine does (I also play at 1920 x 1080). I've got a Nvidia 770GTX and everything is set to high/ultra. I have a crash now and then, but nothing to write home about. Usually, it's because I've got chrome open with 5 tabs, an excel spreadsheet or two, skype, and Gimp because I forgot to shut it off before I started playing.
*They go for about $50, so you aren't going to break the bank on them. A new monitor will cost about 4x that.
About the video card, I was thinking about upgrading to a 980GTX... and decided not to bother. They've come down a lot in price since I built my computer, but I'm not sure I can justify spending 6 bills on an upgrade for something that still works fine. Yeah, the 980 is much better at resource management than the 770, but it's still a lot of money for something I don't need.

I don't know what company you bought this computer from, but some companies install a lot of "crapware" and trial programs that load automatically when you boot the system. I would check the startup menu to see exactly what is loading when you boot. Also, start Task Manager to see what programs are running. Programs running in the background will often suck up all your resources. You should be able to run DAI on high settings at the very least with the system you have. I don't think it matters if you have Win 8.1 or 7.

Windows 8 = Windows vista, not worth upgrading.
You clearly have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.
Windows 8.1 uses DirectX 11.1 whereas Windows 7 uses DirectX 11. Simply upgrading to Windows 8.1 for the newer DX version alone is worth it. Because, why? It improves game performance (especially that of DAI) significantly!
Windows 8.1's user interface may not be the best ever conceived, but the Operating System's performance is by far the best of any of its predecessors.
Better memory allocation and less power consumption to mention but a few.
So your advise against upgrading to Windows 8 is evidence of your ignorance in the matter.

OP, if you don't want to spend money on a new monitor/screen right now (after all, you've only recently spent a lot of money on your PC), you can make the graphics look a little better with software.
There is something called SweetFX. Its long and impressive and confusing description is a "post-processing injector shader suite." Are you familiar with Photoshop and other programs like that? You know how you can take a photograph in Photoshop, and you can sharpen it, or you can adjust the colours, you can change the levels and curves to increase contrast, etc? SweetFX does the same sort of thing but on your game while you're playing, so the graphics you see can look better.
Take a look here at some of the SweetFX configs people have made for DA:I. You can see before and after pictures for them. Most of them gently alter the contrast and colours to make the game appear cleaner and crisper, but some alter the colours a bit more. You can choose whatever you'd prefer. If what you're most interested in is just making the textures seem less soft, I'd recommend only using 2 of the settings in there: SMAA and Lumasharpening.
I'd switch off in-game post-AA because it blurs the whole image. You're able to use MSAA, which is great. I'd use the SMAA that's included in SweetFX alongside your MSAA, and you'll get a much better result. SMAA is a lot better quality than the in-game post-AA (which is usually FXAA, which is very efficient but looks awful), and not much more performance intensive (with your PC I doubt you'd notice any difference in performance). I use SMAA and no MSAA at all, and that's fine for me, so with MSAA and SMAA you'll be doing great.
Lumasharpening adds a sharpening filter over the image. You don't want it to be too strong, but at just the right levels it helps bring out the textures very nicely. I notice a massive difference in the game with and without it. The game looks soft and almost blurred to my eyes without it.
You can pick any of the configs at the link I posted above, and simply turn off whatever effects you don't want to use, leaving SMAA and Lumasharpen. The only difference in your image then will be to the overall sharpness and clarity.
Obviously this doesn't address your technical concerns regarding the best hardware to have, but in the meantime you might find you get good results. And even with the best monitor out there, SweetFX is a very popular program to use by people who like to enhance their game graphics as much as possible to get the best out of them.

Okay OP Same Resoulution, Same setting as you and this is what my game looks like - same as yours so, that's good.

Yeah, some of the textures just aren't that great in the first place, no matter what settings you use. Some leaves look nice up close, others look awful. Some wood textures look good, others look like they're stuck on low (even though they're not). There are weird anomalies on things like armour too, where some parts will look nice and others right next to them will look blurry. I think they don't want us to look too closely ^^
