I just saw the scene where the Inquisitor and all of the companions play cards. Seeing how bad Cullen is at gambling (and how Joesphine is a master bluffer) was exquisite.

It reminded me of the Citadel DLC, which is an extraordinarily good thing.

Yeah, I didn't expect there to be a proper gathering of companions like this. I like that it gets you the People Person achievement.

How do you get this scene? I missed it in my first playthrough.

Varric is the one that gets you to join. You have to talk to him in order to initiate it. I assumed that his approval needs to be up there in order to get it. I didn't get this dialogue until I had completed his Bianca quest.

You get it after Varric's personal quest (not the red lyrium deposit one) and if your Inquisitor has a good approval rating with him.

I noticed that Leliana and Vivienne aren't in this scene; does it have anything to do with current approval rates, or do they just not partake in games of Wicked Grace?

Since Leliana has no approval at all, I guess they are just not the type.

One of my favorite moments in the game.  And not just because Cullen gets naked.....

I would assume that Vivienne would never dare to play a game as uncivilized as Wicked Grace.  Madame is way too concerned with public image to be seen in a pub playing cards.

Indeed such things would simply not be done unless there was a in game version of Mame.

Solas also wasn't involved. but they kinda explained his lack of appearance in party banter between him and Varric I believe. Either him and Varric or him and Dorian

Haven't gotten this scene yet, but I don't think it's tied to People Person, as I already have that.  I think for People Person, you just need to get 3 people to their 'good approval' personal quest card change - I have Bull's, Dorian's, Cassandra's and Sera's already.

It's a Varric related scene.  You need to finish the

quest and then it triggers.

I never got Cassandra or Blackwall in this scene the first time around. Was it because I didn't have their approval high enough?

All of those who could show up, showed up for me. Except Blackwall. I hadn't done his personal quest yet so he wasn't, um, available.

Spoiler

I don't think it's related to companions' approval though (except maybe Varric's), because I never did any of IB's personal quests prior to this scene, his specilisation was still locked, yet he still showed up.

You have to do Cassandra's 'Guilty Pleasures' quest for her to join. Not sure about Blackwall.

This is one of the better scenes in the game in my opinion.  Mainly because of who got "drunk under the table"  ;)

The problem with this scene is that there wasn't enough buildup. The Citadel DLC works because you've had 3 games for Shepard to build relationships with companions and for companions to build relationships with each other. The DLC would have fallen flat if it had occurred in ME1.
