I mean most of the battles were on their territory and having them as allies would make more sense since well since Cory acttualy had armies in their territory.
Why did the inquisitor did not alliy with Ferelden also?

I think it's assumed that you already have the backing of Ferelden as shown in the contact you get from Alistair/Anora pretty early on at the war table and throughout. Would've been nice to have a bigger mission there though, I missed Denerim.
