Many are missing the point, it's not that the ui is horrible, but it could be a LOT better if it wasn't made with controller/console as main approach, heck origins has much better ui. But Inquisition is hardly the only game plagued by this, Skyrim, Battlefield,Mass Effect and list goes on.

I cried early on with the PC controls.  After a week of playing it and rebinding my keys it's much better.

Of course I have Razer Tartarus sitting on the left side of my keyboard, A close to 10 years old G15 keyboard in the center which is still going strong (Nice Quality Logitech!) and a 12+ button gaming mouse to my right, all of which are customizable so I have a lot of options.

Bummer for those you still playing on your Dell Keyboard and 2 button mouse.

Pretty much the "Only" thing that could use change is a zoom out feature during Tactical view but otherwise loving the "new" contols

With the exception of Tactical View that gets stuck too easily, I have 0 problems with the controls whatsoever. The UI could be better but it does not bother me the slightest.

So, you think that the cursor being hidden when you hold LMB to attack makes it easier to aim abilities? What a breakthrough - Microsoft has been doing it wrong for 20 years, tell them immediately that for best usability the cursor must be hidden.

Also, it's not possible to select enemies (click with LMB, and you selects AND attack them - if you just want to see their level, you're out of luck), which makes me think that this is designed for a stick which offers more control than pressing Tab

Yes, I wish the tactical camera zoomed out further like many have said, but not everything in life will generally be perfect.

Try doing that indoors, and the only thing you'll be able to see is the back of character's heads. Simply put, the engine doesn't quite seem up to the job (that is, you'd need to hide the ceiling when in tactical mode but apparently that's not possible)

I'd take bad PC controls in a game I want to play as much as DAI over having no PC version any day. I'll never play on consoles because I just can't used to gamepads. It's a complete mystery to me how anyone can be even semi-fast with them, and precision is impossible anyway.

I'm playing on a PC have am having no real problems with the UI or controls so far. Performance is decent... and I do not want Bioware/EA to stop selling these games on PC, as I have no intention of going and buying a console.

I know some people have issue's with the PC controls, performance, etc... but that doesn't mean everyone is, or that they should stop selling games on the PC IMO.

The tactical camera sucks, but the UI? Really? It shows like 10 items at a time, has a clear paperdoll, and supports mouse control as well as drag and drop. The map is large and looks pretty good, too, albeit the radar is a bit unhelpful. I have absolutely 0 issues with it otherwise.

UI wise, the game is on the good end for sure (remember Skyrim? *shudders*), but then again I hate grid inventories so maybe that's why I like it?

I play on PC and don't feel like buying a console, so how about no.

I assume the Devs thinks there will be a lot of WOW players that don't mind the new meta controls, unfortunately for them this doesn't look like the case.

Substandard in what way? Like the port of Origins to console? Because that was just awful.

Wouldn't it be nice if they did an equally good job on both?

The tactical camera is flawed, but otherwise I don't have a lot of difficulty with the controls on my 2h warrior.  I certainly don't think the controls are "horrid" and I'm not understanding what is supposed to be "horrid" about them.  I find it easier to control my character than I did in Witcher II, which was the last RPG I picked up.  It seems like a pretty standard WASD control scheme.

Even if there is some secret flaw I'm overlooking, its definitely not a result of some supposed console focus.  There's nothing distinctively console-y about the UI or the controls.

Tbh I thought the PC UI and controls were awful at first, then I tried it with a controller to do the duplication cheat and then it made me realize the console controls are far worse. How anyone can play this using a controller...oh my. XD

There's no denying that more work should've been put into the PC UI, tactical cam comes to mind in particular.

When I first started the game the controls felt.... clunky... and somewhat painful to use. Im not entirely sure how to explain it, but if it takes many hours before player gets fully used to the controls, then something has gone horribly wrong, period. Newcomers to the series might very well call it quits and never try the game again, with good reason.  :(

That being said, everything else about the game is excellent, and now that I am completely used to the controls, I find myself being able to appreciate the combat for what it's supposed to be. :)

And this is where you're missing the point. They developed both versions alongside each other. This wasn't a "port" from console to pc. The pc ui and gameplay is far superior to console and will always be. There isn't anything wrong with it people are just complaining for the sake of complaining. It is amusing how people bash console games for being too simple, yet in the same breath complain that there isn't an easy "push a to auto attack" button for pc. Hypocrisy at its finest.

You can't say this is how the UI would look like if the game was PC only. It's not bad as it is ,but it could be a lot better if it was made especially for kb+mouse. It's totally feasible as it is but I wouldn't mind it being better either. It's not as bad as say Skyrim original f.e.

If your going to make console design choices then as a PC gamer I simply dont want that crap.

The landscape is awesome and I enjoy that the rest is made to play on casual and listening to some guys talking.

if you dont respect me as a PC gamer I cant respect your work the last 4 years either as your design choice just is bad.

If you didnt reelase this crap on PC then I wouldnt bothered with it at all as I dont play console games due to not owning or will ever own a console.

Just stop release on PC thank you unless you actually do design for PC.

Best way to tell them this is through your wallet. Fortunately you will just be ignored as loads of other people will buy it.
