I've never said such a thing. I've given you numerous options that would satisfy us both, from everything I could glean about your preferences. The only preference I can think of that I missed is you not actually knowing whether they had sex or not... and I have a solution for that too: choose to trigger a sex-scene or a romance scene that doesn't include sex, akin to the one we got.

 

Xil, giving options in this case does not matter even if it is strictly an option because it is clear that this was strictly intended to be an asexual romance. If it was not, if it was, theoretically supposed to cater to all types of Inquisitors, then the romance arc would give you all the options...but it doesn't....

 

Case in point is Leliana's romance arc in DAO...You have the option of being openly flirtatious with her and initiating sex with her early after she handled Marjolaine...Or you have the option of playing as the nice shy guy and taking things slowly, which Leliana even approves...

 

Sadly those romance options, these choices within a romance arc, have gone the way of the dodo...The fact that people here are defending the lack of options reveals that much....

Well.. If you REALLY want to look into the science of it, and the cold hard statistics, then it goes something like this:

90% (at least) of the worlds population are heterosexual, thus comprises the vast majority obviously. The remaining 10% (or less) are divided amongst ALL other sexualities you can think of, of which homosexuality/bisexuality (some studies lump these two together, since they can be difficult to verify from eachother) are the largest at around 8% roughly. Leaving ALL other sexualities (bestiality, necrophelia, pedophelia, asexuality and a truck load of others) to the last 2% of the worlds population.

Now when you look at it from a percentage point of view, it may not seem like much, but the 10% "other than hetero" still numbers over 700 million people, which is a sizable market. So I'd say that it is very valuable to try to create content for them (the legal ones at least.........).

 

Now what they did with Josephine is kind of having your cake and eating it too. Since sexual relations or not directly shown but implied. So if you want to, you can head-canon that it didn't happen, or that it did if you want to. However, since some of the other romances directly show the sexual relationship, some of the Josephine romancers who wanted the sex, feels "cheated" of it.

And you have to take into account how many people who actually a gamer, who actually play this game, and separate only asexuality out since other sexualities asides from asexuality has nothing to do with it. The number is actually not that big. Still, if they really want to do it, they should have do it as a separate romance instead of making it as part of the sexual ones since a lot of them wouldn't be satisfied.

I'm just a little irked today is all.  Inquisition is a wonderful game but for every positive I'm finding in this experience, there's about a hundred more negatives.  I'm honestly surprised they didn't delay this game another 6 months from all the stuff that's lacking in it.  But that's a rant for another thread.   First I found out there are no unique Qunari armors.  Then I find out about the horrible hair options for the elves.  Then I find out about all the godawful bugs plaguing my game.  THEN I find out that areas can literally become desolate ghost towns after a while thanks to the "dynamic system".  Finding out Josephine is a Disney Princess was basically a cherry on top of this **** sundae. 

 

Aaand, I just ended up ranting anyway.  Whatevs.

I actually agree, the game lacks polish. It seems like a game that was not properly beta tested, crashes and game breaking things happen for a lot of people, as do character models glitching out. I enjoy it a lot, but it should have been checked over to make sure. I think they have had "keepers" or something, youtubers who are fans of Dragon age playing the game before release, you would think they would point out its flaws.

Close guess to be fair to you, she looks a bit like Jasmine from the movie. Also, I think she is probably the disney princess that is most like her, from what I have seen. But I like to think my view is from my femelfs view, and because of a lovely glitch, when they kiss, my elfs view is of Josies neck

Actually I'm reminded by a glitch which froze my characters expression in the duel scene and after it, he look so weird kissing Josie. It was redeemed by the aftermath cuddle by the fire scene tho

The character models are a bit glitchy sometimes, my Femelf Enansal is a little bit shorter than Josie, when she kisses Josie, Josie kisses her forehead, its a bit weird.

The couch scene is nice, but badly inadequate in my opinion.

The couch scene, plus the scene where the Inquisitor picks up Josephine and twirls her around, very nearly made me switch to her as my romance for my first playthrough.

Actually they're being inducted as officially Disny princess already. Mulan is a Disney Princess, not a damsel in distress, and not a princess...

I didn't have a problem with the nudity at all.  Was it necessary?  Of course not.  But it certainly didn't detract from the romance for me.  I enjoyed it in Dorian's romance. 

 

If anything, I just wish they had been a little more equitable with nudity between the genders.  Three out of four of the ladies that can be involved in romance (including the female Inquisitor) are topless.  Only one out of the six guys (including the male Inquisitor) that can be involved in romance are shown naked (just Dorian).  Three of the others have implied nudity, but nothing is shown and the last two don't have any nudity at all.  If you are going to include it, I'd like to see it spread out a bit more.  I found it strange that the female Inquisitor is shown naked, but not the male.

 

So, the fact that Josie is the only female involved in the romances who isn't shown topless, just makes me appreciate that they gave us a variety by having her romance be something different.
