Maybe it would have been had it made sense. Which it did not, given that my character is a mage, the duel could never have happened without Josephine knowing about it, and going ahead with it behind her back is sort of a dick move.

None of which changes that we could easily have had a sex scene for those who wanted it and the ability to avoid it for those who didn't, without cutting it out altogether.

They did it with Dorian, so I don't see why they couldn't have done it with Josephine.

Right again. The sex scenes, just like many other scenes, can be skipped over.

However, you cannot skip that ridiculously illogical duel which is clearly there just to give Josephine's arc a Disney Princess vibe, not to actually do much else, as I outlined in a previous post....

Reading over this thread just tells me that the sex itself should simply be implied.  People either have perverted fantasies and are imagining themselves,  or it somehow offends them, or it's offensive to their sexuality or whatever.  There is no legitimate argument for it having to be shown.  It should simply be a role playing choice if you can imagine your character would actually be interested in romancing any of these rather extreme and goofy characters.

Also,  this argument that because it's a mature rated game there must be sex is a joke right?  Didn't know mature defaulted to sex.

Again with the shaming accusations. I believe many of the posters here who want Josephine's romance arc to feature a sex scene as opposed to a dueling scene in Val Royeaux is because it makes more sense.

Not because of perverted fantasies. There are literally tens of thousands of other websites for us to indulge in this perversion that we are accused of having....

You can have Cassandra's sex scene for all I care. I only watch it for the poetry.

And there's nothing in the game that says it didn't happen other than the fact that you don't see it

My dear, romantic relationships are a two way street between two consenting people. Each one has their own expectations and desires, no one gets into a romantic relationship out of nowhere.

See, I do not have this glorified idealized view of romance. To me, that is a painfully stupid mistake to make. Romantic relationships are a form of intimate business transaction between two consenting humans. Both parties give somethings and in return they expect somethings.

It is also my opinion that it is best to be forthcoming about your capability to give and what you expect. Transparency and honesty helps to make things more meaningful.

So, I give my best and in return I expect something. Part of that something is intimacy via sexual intercourse. This is just me being honest my dear.

Tis' very simple to understand, really.

If being honest and forthcoming is being shallow, then, well....

Ight, wildorchid is right. People are taking this out of context. Its just a game so i'm leaving it at that

There is no limit for shaming attemps if you voice your opinion on this. I said this in another thread too: It only grinds my gears when I (or someone else) advocates for mature content, preferably actual romantic intimacy, in a supposedly mature game and then you get bunch of people jumping you with "omg you want pixel porn/boobs/need a life/horny teen" witty comebacks.

She's not the only one without one

I'm curious who else doesn't have a sex scene?

I've only romanced Dorian. I assumed he didn't have a sex scene - just the make out session. But, lol, I was wrong. I was gloriously wrong.

As for the thread topic - I can understand why some folks hope for a sex scene. It's enjoyable to some.

I'm ok with Josie not having a sex scene, but I'm curious as to how far she goes? I've been wanting to romance her.

Solas doesn't have one, and Sera techincally doesn't unless to do something

That's because they have no valid arguments to use, hence the shaming. Seriously, if we really wanted to get our fill of pixel pornography, there a literally, hundreds of sites we could go to.

Sex between romantic partners means that they trust each other enough to open up and be intimate on such a level. It serves as a way to show that this couple are really serious and committed and trusting of each other...It shows that, all right, these two are at the next level, the deepest level.

To my knowledge...no weird dueling scenes and fireplace dates can accurately depict that or give off that meaning...

Cass was the first smex scene we saw.

Anyway, no one cares that you're upset. The care about reasons given. "I'm straight an male and we only have two options and one doesn't show boobs," sounds kind of shallow. It's not like anyone has denied you the right to assume the relationship is sexual.

Wouldn't it actually be shallow to assume things that you do not know for certain are true or happened ?

I do not know about you but isn't it shallow to imagine that "well this girl and I had sex" when the only thing that you know of is that both of you had a date on a couch, in front of a fireplace and exchanged a few kisses ?

Tis' truly odd how accusations of shallowness are being flung at those who want the reality of it....When the ones who are imagining it, or shall we say, implying it, without evidence, are the shallow ones because they are making things up ?

I mean in Solas' romance, you will have this line by him "....Getting you into bed is an added side benefit" and other lines like "Doing it in the Fade", so there we can assume with a high degree of probability that it happened...

However, no such thing, no such lines were said in Josephine's romance...None...So how can you imply it, I have no actual idea ? You literally have to make it up, there is no implying here...

It's very easy to assume they have sex. Sorry you don't have a scene to ****** too. That being said their relationship comes off more like two young people taking things slowly which I find refreshing. But if you don't like that then maybe she isn't the romance for you.

Leliana warned you anyway.

So people who don't have sex in their relationships are juvenile and/or it's just puppy love?  <_<

In general (yes, I know asexuals and such exist), sex will eventually be a part of adult relationships* as people grow up so yes, I think calling it "juvenile" would be rather accurate.
