No.  What you're doing is stating that I am wrong because they are my opinions while spouting your own opinion in the process.  But you aren't giving any actual weighty rebuttal.

Whatever, agree to disagree, Im not putting my time into arguing on a forum. Anyways, I imagine the majority will disagree that sex is the purest way of showing love, so I have no need to argue.

That still only gives a few to where there is currently all.

How many do you need? I think about three would cover everything; "I want to wait until marriage" for straight men, your preferred asexual/demisexual (though one would think that a demisexual at this point in the relationship would be attracted to Josephine anyway) option, and a third for anything I happened to forget.

I genuinely think it's perfectly fine that Josephine's relationship is not sexual during the course of the game.  It fits her character.  Plus, it's all about offering variety in the romances.

Look at the romances for gay males.  One is a forced BDSM relationship.  That's certainly not everyone's cup of tea, but I have no issue with it being included because it is some people's cup of tea, so why not have that in the game for those people.  The same way that Josephine's romance arc appeals to some players as well.

Not as massive as I would like, and I wish I had a somewhat more diverse roster of allies, but we'll do what we can.

Because most don't care or don't have a issue with it at all

I'm just saying, writers shouldn't overstep their bounds.  Last time they did, it gave us the ME 3 debacle.

How are they overstepping their bounds for writing a character that they created the way they wanted

Really? People can have sex with people they don't give a damn about, it doesn't stop it from being pleasurable. But I wouldn't call it pure or meaningful. Your mind makes it so, but it's not the same for everyone.

Well, maybe keep your sexual proclivities healthier in habit and we wouldn't be having this discussion?

I know little about the male romances, but I don't know if I'd really like the way Iron Bull was handled either.

And I don't think that this is fine, or at least I don't think that the way this was forced on us is. Especially when the only other option for lesbians is so horrible.

Yeah, except heteroys are left out in the cold.

And it is at this moment that the thread turns uncivilized.....  A shame really that people can't have these conversations without passing personal judgments and making disparaging remarks to others.

There are many reasons people may wait that those wouldn't possibly cover, so it is limiting. Also in DAI there is dialogue with the sex scene so those who don't partake in it would miss out on a character building moment, thus isn't fair to those who don't want it. This way everyone experiences the romance and character equally.

But don't you understand that the type of sexual relationship that you are describing as your preference would be "forced" on people who don't like that type, right?  Pretty much all of the other DA relationships attend to the type of relationship that you are talking about, so why not allow others to get their preferences too?

Yeah, except heteroys are left out in the cold.

Incorrect.  Assuming you mean hetero males, you have the choice between Cassandra, a sexual romance, and Josephine, a non-sexual romance.  You aren't left out in the cold.  You have options.  You might not like them, but you have them.

Kind of hard to feel left out in the cold when you have the hottest woman in southern Thedas at your side.

I feel bad for you, theres always at least one mature person in a forum thread, in this case you, but they always consistently have to explain themselves to people who react poorly to certain aspects of media.

Well, if that was supposed to insult me it didn't work

@chronoid - There's nothing unhealthy about either approach. I get it that you wouldn't have sex with random people. That's fine. But other people might have different ideas, and it's not your place to tell them what they should or shouldn't do. Sex, technically speaking, is a physical act. Your interpretation doesn't change it.

What's the deal with Sera? I've got a female qunari mage primmed to romance her; am I setting myself up for disappointment?

Sera isn't a big fan of Dalish or magic, so goes against Xil.

Lol, I have so many female friends who would have killed to romance Cass with a female Inquisitor.

Careful, express an opinion all you want, but depending on how people react to what you just said, this thread could totally switch topics.
