Hello, I have a question.

If i got a 2h Axe that says:
165 DPS in the "header" and in the "stat listing" it says 140 aoe damage.

What does that actually mean?

I thought all greataxes were aoe in a cone in front of you. So does this weapon do 165 dps to targets in front of you and 140 to targets on the side and behind?

It means it does 140 damage per strike and strikes slightly faster than once a second, meaning over time it averages out to 165 damage per second.
