I just started vivienne's quest regarding the wyverrns. She said that in the past, before the civil war, that Chevaliers would kill or drive the beasts away from villages. just thought I would leave that here.

Intresting. Probably that was their initiation from the beginning.
Why everyone want apostate chevalier? Being the part of the Order is the most intresting thing.

People don't support a group known to rape, abuse and take anything they please. What a shock.

Someone's gotta keep the most powerful empire safe
Yes, they're called the Magisterium.

Pfft.
Most powerful empire?
Not anymore, not by a long shot, not if they can't even properly equip a fire ship.

This again? Your simple proof lies with the fact that Orlais always needed the help of other nations and exalted marches to deal with Tevinter. In fact all defeats and setbacks of Tevinter was a result of the whole world rising against it. Knowing this you always grasp at straws to prove a point, just don't. You know way too well this is true. The Chantry and its authority is what makes Orlais the strong, take it away and Orlais will fall behind immensely,
Unlike Orlais The whole legion of Tevinter's best trained soldiers was not defeated by doglords and city elf vigilantes. Orlais is stongest in south but Tevinter is strongest human nation.

This again?
Apparently Since you still have yet to learn the difference between offensive and defensive warfare.
Because if half of your assumptions were true Nevarra never would have been able to basically turn southern Tevinter into a war zone.
Which they did.
Got to love that magister arrogance.
Thinking it was a good idea to not pursue peace, despite their conflict with the Qunari. All they did was open another front.

And Orlais is not arrogant? It was their arrogance that made them suffer a horrendous defeat at river dane.
Tevinter stroke back at Nevarra pretty quickly, not only that they were about to conquer Nevarra, but guess what happend? The south intervened. Tevinter was more than capable to open two fronts at the time.
They have captured Seheron 4 times, from your praised battleships armed with Qunari explosives. I think this throws your idea of "Tevinter's offense is weak" out of the window.

The epilogue doesn't say anything about how the war with the Imperium will go only that Tevinter was beset now both to the north and south.
Besides the obvious implications.
This is definitive that the Imperium is hard pressed to even meet both enemies.

Which is quite possibly foreshadowing for us being the hero that needs to save it.
After all, if we saved Orlais, saving Tevinter will hardly be too much worse.

Please more about chevaliers. There are a lot of themes about magisters.

Its a safe guess. Nevarra has been deflowered by Tevinter and Orlais alike too many times. Wanna bet Orlais will turn on Nevarra the second things go a bit bad when their forces are in Nevarra in name of "help".

Perhaps the Chevaliers could do with someone to show them what a true warrior is and guide them not-so-gently back to the ideals of the order. The basis of the order is sound, code of chivalry is noble, but there are too few following the ideals and too many who are there just to abuse the position. Purge the scumbags from the ranks publicly, enshrine the code in the hearts of those who remain. I think what the order needs is someone with the backbone, directness and strenght of Gaspard mixed with a good dose of idealism. Would make an interesting companion too.

The stories of random rapes and killings seem to pop up every now and again and even if they are carried out by a small minority of of the order, even one case is too much for someone following the code of chivalry. The public image of the order could be helped perhaps by reluinquishing the privileges that have enabled these rotten apples to carry out their crimes and then vigorously and publicly pursuing these criminals. Thats the only way i see to rebuild the trust between the order and the people they are duty-bound to protect.

I don't think there its been shown anywhere, just mentions about honor being paramount. I'd assume the actual code is something akin to the chivalric code of the late middle ages.
