Is it? Is it really? You're not concerned about your proximity to the water? Tides? Storm surge? Storm runoff? No?

Hahaha those where my thoughts as well! ![]()
Most of them do make sense with distance from the other camps, but sometimes they don't. Like why don't we make camp in the areas that there are already the beginnings of a camp at? It'd save time
By the water is good. Easy access to Fish and drinking. In the water I'd assume is not so good.
No worries about the Kraaken either. Pfft, fantasy amateurs.
Hey, at least it's better than the area where they set up a camp next to a big ol' vein of red lyrium.
I mean, nothing could possibly go wrong. Right? Right?
Multiple. Multiple camps beside huge veins of red lyrium (I've counted at least 2).
I was like "... okay? Uhh, I think we probably... shouldn't?"
But obviously another refueling station > > > huge risks imposed by corrupting magical ore. More potions! Less backtracking! Yay! Wait, what's growing out of me? Never mind, I'm sure it's nothing serious.

Hah! I haven't seen that yet. Seems like a good idea!
Hopefully that Requisition officer gets washed into the sea.
Hahaha spot on. The buggers will bother you even if you dont talk to them. They just come, Inquisiterr you maight wunt to tak a look at dis. NO! I DONT! Step back! Shoo. I dont want to look at it. I dont have time. Get your own herbs, you stay 24/7 round that tent, look around, plenty of herbs to pick yourself.
Seems reasonable to me.
LOL This reminds me of the time I went to scout camp and spent hours building a lean-to by myself while my partner tried to build a fire in a puddle.
A leader came by some time later, started a fire next to the puddle and went on his way. facepalm indeed
Meh its a wonderful vacation spot with great swimming.

Not to mention that I want to ****** smack them when I do ask for the report and they say "See for yourself". Like how godsdamned disrespectful can you be??
Hahaha I didn't notice that. I was in the mindset of "OH GEEZ PEOPLE ATTACKING ME WE ARE ALL DYING NEED POTIONS BUT NEED CAMP BY THIS AREA SO I DON'T HAVE TO RIDE HORSE ALL THE WAY BACK BECAUSE I'M LAAAZZZYYY!!!"
When devs said there would be camps I thought they meant something akin to DAO, where you can actually talk to your companions. You know, like in a rpg you should. Instead it is just a refresh location. Nothing more. Boring.

There is so much discussion at the skyholdthough that I feel it makes up for it. Not like DA:A or DA2 which had like 0 discussion.
The one in Hinterlands that someone mentioned before, where the area is completely infested with bears, wild dogs, and the occasional rogue enemy always made me laugh a bit as well.
"Let's see.... this place right here is possibly the most dangerous region in the area. Other than where that damned dragon was seen... and if anyone comments on how quickly I ran the other way I will personally ensure your digestive tract is laid out in front of you for inspection. Anyway... A large hill that is in plain view while we are surrounded by bears, dogs, and enemies that disappear and reappear on a whim. Sounds great, right?"
Storm Coast is a good one too... a campfire in the middle of a huge rainstorm. Right. How about we look for.. a cave or something?
Seems reasonable to me.
Clearly, they are just showing off. I mean, whose to say it isn't some lost form of survival method by the wild riverling tribes that inhabited the land long, long ago.

Very true, I find myself running around for at least 30-40mins everytime I finish a mission to see what all my companions are up to. Alot better than the sit down for an hour talk to them and have nothing to say until the next chapter that DA:O/2 had.

LOL! I was wondering the same thing. No flying tents or exploding campfires?
Lucky I guess, that the Inquisition didn't suffer Bartrand's fate. And that was just a little statue.
That camp is perfectly situated....to be staffed by the soldiers that are on your bad side. ![]()
