Personally? I don't care about any ranking, What is the point to look at this? I really do not understand that, in my life I didn't think even once to look at the ranking. I love some games ---> I buy some games ---> I play them ........ nothing more.
Dragon Age: Inquisition's first week sales.

Even after gamergate people are still apparently pretending the type of people who spam metacritic user ratings aren't immature obnoxious filth? Ok.

Well Inquisition just seems to have a lot of love (and money) poured into it. Simply hoping for EA to turn a profit here so we can get more games like this in the future. People can play whatever they want as long as I get stuff like this, but my purchase alone won't cover the costs. You shouldn't find it depressing. Just enjoy the game and let others enjoy whatever it is that they enjoy. As long as they keep making these games it's pretty obvious they are doing just fine. People complain about other people not liking things that they like themselves, but as long as the thing that you enjoy exists why bother?

It's not "doing poorly", don't worry
It makes me happy to hear this from the horse's mouth
. (Or the dragon's mouth. Or ... something.)
Here's to good sales and future sequels.

No kidding.
So is there a chance you will share actual numbers? Like how much advertising/marketing was and what your sales are so far?

VGchartz doesn't count digital sales
Digital sales are the future.
Im sure you can add up 100% -200% to the numbers.
No need to wait for the box that catches dust in you room after a few months.

As a PC player, the game worked pretty well for me. Sure i got 15-20 crashes that i had to hard-reboot off of, but that's in 110 hours, so it works out ok to me ![]()

MCVUK had an article about the top selling games for the week ending Nov 22 & Dragon age inquisition was 5th selling ALMOST the exact same number as DA2 did in its entire shelf life.
So that's over 2 million on launch week which is pretty good.
Also shameless plug for MCVUK [the market for computer & video games], great site for news articles about what's happening in the industry.

The only problem i have is with the rumor which says that the new Denuvo soft bla bla will send your HDD or SSD sooner rather than later to the graveyard and even though i think this rumor is baseless i still think EA or actually Bioware should make an official statement in which they guarantee the safety of my hardware or at least they could guarantee that if the hardware will fail to function it won't be cuz of that Denuvo soft, do this and i'm first in line to buy this probably epic game. It is true that i never really searched for it i but never saw any official statement regarding this problem.

I'm not surprised. Bioware abandoned PC gamers. Bad words of mouth and average scoring from reviews from critics and terrible reviews from fans like Metacritics. I enjoyed this game. I hope it sells better later on, but it doesn't look very good.
A little overly dramatic aren't we?
If Bioware "abandoned PC gamers", one would think they would not release a PC versions of their games. Just because they make games for the consoles and PC hardly means they abandoned us.
Kotor and Mass Effect 1 being timed exclusives on consoles were far more egregious than DA:I.
I swear, PC gamers are getting more and more entitled when they have no idea what it was like when a lot of AAA games never even made it to PC. The term "bad port" is also abused by those who don't know what REALLY bad ports are like.

On a less related note, has EA changed at all since their old CEO or whatever he was got replaced?
I read an interview that Game Informer did with EA's new CEO, and he seemed sincere about changing some practices. Time will tell, though.

Too soon to say. I hope so. It is a good sign that they delayed DA:I for a year (and a month). They also delayed Battlefield. Perhaps they want to try and put out a better product that they were just a few years ago.
I still don't trust them at all, but I love Bioware so I have to deal with it and hope for the best.

Does it really matter?
In all honestly, John Ricitellio did a lot of good things at Electronic Arts when he was in charge, investments into new tech and engines like Frostbite 3, the partnership program giving us new IPs, changing internal wages and crunch time issues from the early 2000s that folks hated, and some companies like Rockstar still get in trouble for.
He just happened to be in charge of EA, which was the problem.

95% of my game purchases are digital on PC. I'm sure a majority of their PC sales are in that category as well.

DAI not in NPD's top 10 selling games for November.
http://www.ign.com/a...-uk-in-november
I know DAI came out late in November, but is this not kind of surprising? I'm a bit ignorant on the subject. Definitely some tough competition there. Like others have said, December should be a big month for DAI.

VG Chartz do some very creative measuring. Also, the factor of digital sales cannot be underestimated. Aunts buy Halo and CoD physically for their 13 year old nephews/nieces since they are mainstream titles. Dragon Age is a personal purchase and as such, will have a larger digital proportion. Finally, RPGs aren't big sellers. Pokemon is the biggest RPG ever and that's because it's not an RPG. Even Skyrim, for all its freakish ubiquity, didn't blow away the sales charts.

yea i buy my games digital, i think a lot of PC users do and therefore not counted in those sales charts. Only bio/EA have the proper numbers.

I'm shocked too only because Pokemon came out three days after DAI and only on the 3DS. I know Pokemon tends to dominate sales but I would think DAI would be up there because it came out on five systems.

I only buy digital downloads now. I have a fast connection and it's super convenient. It sure beats going to my local GameStop.
