Less than 100 games & I've already stopped looking at what items I receive from chests. Not even excited to open them. Just a chore. Collect gold for 10 chests, open fast as possible, straight to salvage. Am I the only 1?

Penguin, despite your incorrect assumptions I want this game to succeed & be popular. My posts reflect a real concern it will not. Others voice their opinions. I am a prolific poster on this game. It's the first $70 I've ever bought & I LOVE DA. I'm happy that your game runs smooth & you are having a blast. Wtf are you mad that many others have glitches, bugs, and issues that this should be fixed.

Can you honestly say opening a chest is cool on any way? You like the thrill of a level 6 rare dagger? You be probably played 200 games. I'm surprised you don't agree that the loot is rather boring.

I know, I notice you moaning and and complaining here all the time.

My game does not run completely smooth and I have no doubt the same issues you do. Ive also reported them to the devs and thats it. I dont need to whinge in every single thread about it because it wont achieve anything.

When I get a high level rare or unique then yes, I do think its cool. Obviously I don't like getting chests full of low level commons, but im not whiny and butthurt enough to make a thread about it.

You're taking his opinion pretty personally, Penguin. I actually agree with him. When you never get anything good out of chests, and you don't have anything like ME3MPs eventual mitigation of bad luck to keep your chin up, then rewards start to feel really unrewarding.

I'm not so sure there isn't a progression system for loot. Now that I'm over lvl 120 I've started getting a lot more high level stuff. Could just be luck though, I dunno.

as much I'd like to disagree with Mr. Jessku,

he has a point.

Remember the excitement you had with ME3MP everytime when you've received another tier of your weapon.

And I've used many weopons from the start till today.

And the time we spent with the commons and rares was pretty long!

The ultra rares are really "ultra rare", ok - but this was just annoying after i've played for one or two decades.

But now with DAMP: after promoting just 1 class and being on level 17 again,

I visit the store and can only hope for (the equivalent of) an "ultra rare" item.

Because everything from 1-15 is only crap and directly salvaged.

And we all know that salvaging doesn't give you the direct feeling of having done anything "important" or useful.

No, I mostly remember hoping to get a weapon upgrade so said weapon would actually be usable and then getting consumable in every other packs when I was already drowning in it. I wish There were more usable weapons in DA I because beside choosing the top DPS one I hardly feel I have a choice that will influence my gameplay but maybe it's because I don't how more than two unique or so and barely more rares.

Yeah yeah I know, its the poster and not the post thats prompted that reaction. It just bothers me how much some people on BSN persistently complain about how they hate his game to no end.

On topic: Yes the loot system is... not good to put it lightly. Personally I think uniques and rares should have a minimum level and that your chances of getting higher level stuff increases with say, amount of promotions/challenges complete.

Penguin, you really are taking this a bit too personal. If you can block me or ignore my messages then please do. As a warning: I will continue posting my opinions. I'm butt hurt & whiny when I pay for sub par product that cannot be refunded. We can continue our banter across multiple threads if you choose not to block/ignore me. This is actually more fun than the game since my last match had infinite loading screen.

I have two unique staves in my inventory, a level 5 and a level 14.  My best staff is a level 20 common.  Yeah, I don't care about the color of the cards much anymore.  It really is a step backwards from ME3's MP.  Also, despite getting numerous, duplicate character cards in ME3 MP, at least those were useful for quickly promoting characters that you did not play.  What am I supposed to do with all this metal and other worthless crafting material?  It's not like I can upgrade it to tier 2 or 3, or use it to make that level 23 unique item I really want.

His post is actually a very valid point, and wasn't even hyperbolic.  I think you may be confused about who is shitposting; I feel some reflection on oneself may be in order.

Hi Sir Jessku, I sent you a private message yesterday asking if I could help you process a refund but have not gotten a reply. I'll happily help, as will our customer service team that you can contact at any time. If you're not in fact interested in a refund then I suggest improving your behavior in these forums or taking a break from posting if you can't conduct yourself in a better manner. Thank you.

@BWEAmelia

And yet he has ever right to point out the issues that are causing problems with the game he spent money on; thank you for offering to help with a refund though.  While a break could be used to let Bioware get these issues sorted out, reporting them will go a long way in helping you to monitor these problems more accurately.  While I am not a moderator, reporting an issue or suggesting how the current system is flawed and ways to improve it are not a violation of the TOS.  Furthermore, there is not a multiplayer subforum for reporting bugs.  If you feel that such posts are disruptive then perhaps adding such a forum would be something proactive to solve this issue.  While you're at it, you might as well add multiplayer class specific subforums as well (Warrior, Rogue and Mage).

I agree that he (and we all) have every right to voice our opinions on the very frustrating loot system, he could do with a shift in tone.  As I read Amelia's post, I feel like that's all she's asking for.  Not that he stop voicing complaints, but that he does so with a more respectful attitude.  That sounds fair to me.  We should all be careful to articulate our concerns without using inflammatory or hyperbolic language.

Yes, absolutely! The issue reports have been very helpful to us. There are lots of examples of users posting problems and frustrations they are having with the game while being respectful and good to other forum users. Please don't stop posting your concerns : )

+100 on this idea. ME3's Community and gameplay really blossomed from all the class guides and player feedback.

BWE yes. I just responded. I didn't know much about sending/receiving messages. So I've never sent or received one, or knew how to check. Ty .

Adios to fellow players! Hope things get better. BWE, sorry you find me so disrespectful (not like i post cat pics). Difference of opinion. When I act as a consumer I have high standards that were not met here. Don't be offended. I feel consumers should always voice concerns as in yelp or reviews. I've never said this game or company sucked. Full of bugs, should be better.

No, I don't give a lot of praise to any company if that's what's desired from posters. Companies work for profit - consumers maximize spending. No thanks required for either party.

But seriously, ty for contacting me.

If you are personally insulting developers and users then no, its not a difference of opinion. You are just being disrespectful. Ive made plenty of complaints/bug reports and I don't insult the developer by calling them shoddy workers who don't know how to make a game properly. If you genuinely feel you are being appropriate because its a consumers right to moan, complain and insult others, then you really need to get off your high horse and stop being an internet keyboard warrior. Because I can promise you that you would never dare say anything to these developers in person if you got the chance to meet them.

Penguin, stop the drama bro. Please. I didn't ever say EA has "shoddy" workers. I said this is shoddy work, as in the project, the finishing touches. lol don't fan flames that don't exist. There isn't a shred of doubt in my mind top notch workers & budget was used.

You have read my posts... the 1 I said SP is great.. the 1 I said I love DA, the 1 i said im glad u enjoy the game & i want others to, so don't go all goofy now.

Edit as I just saw the last section. You are right, I wouldn't ever talk to a developer that way - or anyway. They have nothing to do with this. But I don't find voicing my issues face to face any more difficult than typing them. I've argued with a surgeon & he could've killed me during surgery. What exactly would a developer do? Sorry for rant that just confused the hell out of me.

I agree the loot system could use some work *nodnods*.

Very enjoyable game, but with a often frustrating loot system that will lessen the experience.

PenguinFetish is kind of like a person punching an innocent person while shouting "WHY ARE YOU ATTACKING ME?". He has been significantly more offensive to people than Sir Jessku has been, yet Sir Jessku is the one constantly under verbal attack and even being told to improve his behavior. It really makes me feel sick to my stomach to see this kind of hyperbole and twisting of reality. The phrase "Don't kill the messenger" is certainly lost on Penguin.

If anything, people at bioware should be worried that there are NOT more people on forums complaining about the mp, or even talking in the da3mp forum, even me3mp has more activity! The reason why there are so few people complaining despite the many things to complain about is not because they don't have complaints, but because they have already written off DA3MP as not worth their time or effort. I've been in so many games where when talking about replayability, people say they don't see themselves playing it long-term, and many are turned off or even frustrated by the crashes, bugs, loot system, repetitive dialogues, constant mic, controls and clunky mechanics, etc.

I got da3 simply because I wanted the MP because I loved ME3MP so much. I haven't done more than several hours of SP and don't intend to go any further in it because I don't care for the writing, and despite my gripes with MP, I still see it has great potential if the bugs were fixed and some improvements were made to improve gameplay and replayability, and these are things that have to be brought to the forefront addressed ASAP before more people write it off.

Bioware though is somewhat different. I never felt like a consumer, you know, in that household shopper kind of sense. It is more of an interactive book or interactive movie if you might consider a common analogy. To be somewhat more sophisticated, it is a type of work of art and you pay you hard earned money to get inside it and try your own things with it to subtly change it more to your liking within preset. limits. These limits are quite generous in the case of BW.

Also, experience tells that everything or almost everything can be changed in patches and DLCs. And BW listens to BSN as much as the original art concept permits or course adjusted for compliance with EA money making strategies. The latter are required for making ME4, DA-next, NWN-3 or something new, whatever is out there being planned.
