Dear god, I hope we don't go to Riviain. I'm tired of backwaters.
Who else is hoping we stay as the Inquisitor?

I really hope we stay as the Inquisitor as well. I feel like there's a lot more to be done with this character unlike with Hawke and the Warden.

I hope for a new character, the Inquisitor just left a bad after taste for me. Besides, with no DLC's, we know that his story isn't finished yet.

Right now, the only place I'm hoping we don't go is the Anderfels.

Yea I would really like to stay playing as the inquisitor. It would really give me a chance to finally connect to the main character, and I like him better than the warden and champion.

Dragon age 4
Where is the inquisitor . I thought you were his lover ?
- He's in the South. Trying to find more information about the Anchor. Haven't seen him in years !
Where is The Warden ?
- Journey to the west ! ( I find one of his letter so out of character. When he said that he had not much ''warden'' experience. Yet has been a Warden-Commander for over 10 years. )
Where is Hawke ?
- He was scared that Celena would send an entire army after him.. So he went East
While all the protagonist of every other game dissapear. Their companion keep reappearing in novel and other games. You kill Leliana, but she reappear. it could have been any Warden with Hawke. But no . It was Loghain, Stroud or Alistair. Also Morrigan just appear to be at Val-Royeaux boot licking Empress Celene.
It just become a bit stupid. My idea would be to take the three previous protagonist and make an epic story with all three of them. If they appear in the same cutscene make the player decide which one he want to control. Personally I would most likely always control my Warden.
Now that would be funny to get Hawke and the Warden romance each other lol.

Call me crazy, I want another game with Hawke as the protagonist. Best one the series has had imo.
I didn't care for the Inquisitor at all. Not sure why. Maybe it's his voice.

I dunno, I like to hope they moved from DA:3 to DA:I in order to make a DA:I2 and not just a fourth one. It would be a bit strange for them to deviate from the new protagonist each installment thing, but with how much could happen given the way the game ended, I think tying up that story (Solas's especially) might be too big for a DLC. Or maybe I'm just an optimist. ![]()

I get a little tired with the idea of having a different character every game, but I can see why they'd do it - just for companions alone.
I know romances are optional content, but the people who partake in them tend to be some of their most passionate fans. So if DA4 had the Inquisitor as the main character again, since there's 8 characters you could have romanced, allmost of those players will be like, "so and so would never have left me! They need to still be around!" *cough*
So either we'd have to have to have almost the exact same party, or explanations as to why everyone left.
And why my badass Inquisitor is suddenly only back to using 2 spells.
I do think, from this point on, they will continue having previous protagonists show up in future games. Or at least I hope so.
The companions thought is a good point. If I had to play Hawke without Fenris I'd be pretty messed up.

I've had intel from dev friends that BioWare is planning to keep the inquisitor as an ongoing protagonist. These plans are not set in stone, but they're on the table and it's a direction they want to go with the franchise.
No offense- but I really hope your wrong. And if you aren't wrong- I hope it's more of a spin off than continuation of dragon age.
The inquisitor would have been so much better if she was a snarky little witch like Hawke

After everything that has happened in the past, that people like me who wants the warden back as PC. And some that want hawke back as PC. Every single time that has been approached bioware has put the foot down and said every single time "it will be a new protaganist in every game"
Why would they change that now.

Well the warden wasn't a good fit because they weren't voiced, and after the success of Shepard voiced protagonists are Bioware's thing now. And Hawke wasn't a good fit because DA2 wasn't well-received.
But now you've got a protagonist from a game that is (so far) beloved by fans and critics, voiced, and who's in a position of enormous political power in Thedas. If Bioware left the Inquisitor's story unfinished for a reason, then I can readily believe we'll see them again in the next game.

My friend's dad's cousin's best friend Duke, said that Willie from Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles has a source in Bioware that said the same thing.
In all seriousness, they've said time and time again that single protagonist is not the approach they're taking with the DA universe. It will be a new protagonist in each new game. That doesn't mean that we won't possibly see the inquisitor in an expansion, or some inevitable form of story DLC.

I doubt it, after all the next game will be in the North. If it is set in Tevinter, I don't see why the Inquisitor should be in Tevinter, remember, they don't like Andraste, or in this case, her Herald...I rather play as someone from Tevinter instead. If it is set in Anderfels, the Epilogue does say something is going on in Weisshaupt, the Warden has more chances of being PC. Or the First Warden is the PC, you can compare the First Warden to the Inquisitor actually...

Well, apparently there isn't going to be an expansion pack for Inquisition, so either the foreshadowing they did in the epilogue of DAI was hinting at the next game being with the Inquisitor or they did another ME3 "Continue Shepard's story with DLC" thing.

I'd be okay with the Inquisitor appearing in one more game, but only one. I do believe that the story of the Inquisition is over, but I like my Inquisitor and want to see what she does with herself next. I'd like to see what happens if/when she disbands the Inquisition--which I think she will be doing.

It'll most likely end up being medium sized DLC, like previous games. If handled well I can't complain.

Those kinds of DLC are not something that require the foreshadowing that the epilogue in DAI got from Morrigan's narration though.

Then why aren't they in this game? It can easily be done. Where's the Warden then? Saw Hawke a few times. That was pretty easily done. Picked a circle and made a face. Where's the Warden? Oh right, no matter what we do it won't be, "Our Warden" so what's the point? People will complain as they always do when they're favorite protagonists turns out to be a little different than they wanted them to. That's why the Warden will never be a protagonist again. Especially considering they can die. And no, you can't just put in the Warden-Commander. That would require an entirely new voice actor, given that the Warden-Commander is Orlesian. No one wants to pay for that just to please a few long-term fans.

well at least this article sort of hints at a DLC in the planning, http://www.latinospo...to-xbox-one.htm
which, since it was talked about before release-ish? kind of makes me wonder whether it will include the answer to the cliffhanger ![]()
