I think DA:I is the best and biggest DA game but it has issues. Inevitable issues just because it is so big. A fare bit more than I had with Origins. Here is a simple list of everything I didn't like or think could be improved. Most has probably been mentioned before but maybe not all. It is not like I am going to read every little post on this forum to keep from having repeat suggestions. The more people that have the same opinion the more likely it is to get resolved, correct? I am over 80 hours into the game. I have done everything I am aware of except for Astrariums, a few War Table missions, Bottles, Mosaic Pieces, and the main story. I played on PC, they do not all specifically pertain to PC but some do.

General...

-  30fps animations in 60fps environments is immersion breaking and jarring. I am specifically going to point out the solders training in Haven. If you absolutely had to do this for multi-player for technical reasons why do it for single player as well?

-  Only 8 ability slots can be frustrating at times. I basically just try to ignore my additional abilities. I find myself spamming an attack more than Origins because it origins I had so many abilities I was able to apply certain ones in certain situations which made combat more fulfilling and dynamic. In Inquisition I find myself just spamming like a mad man. Spirit Blade! Spirit Blade! Spirit Blade! Fade Step!

-  Really wish Mosaic Pieces had an Inquisition perk like Forward Scouts. I am definitely not going to search every square foot of the game world looking for the last few pieces I am missing. People should not have to rely on game guides / cheat sheets to find these pieces.

-  The final reward for collecting ALL of those shards was extremely underwhelming. The element resistance was nice but the final prize was very disappointing. I feel it should of been the best or the best of something and something you could get nowhere else.

-  Requisition orders should NOT be repeatable. I HAVE 292 POWER! This game does not need repeatable quests in case you are somehow short on power. This drives obsessive completionists like myself and many others bonkers.

-  I have been walking around in DA:I for over 80 hours now mashing the V button because I feel like I will miss something if I don't. I think this is a problem. I feel like I should set it to a macro that presses it every 2 seconds just to save me the trouble.

-  I really want to have helmets visible but they all look like crap until about 70 hours into the game. I am talking about the high level unique ones.

War Table....

-  Resource gathering missions need a different icon to differentiate from the other missions. I don't care about them, I would like to avoid them without having to hover over them or remember were they are.

-  If we are going to do these time based click to start, wait, and click to get reward system we need at very minimum a companion app to go on missions offline. I know you want to give me a reason to go back to Skyhold but I don't think this is it. I go back to Skyhold to talk to people, get there opinions on what I am doing, and to sell / upgrade my gear. Not because I feel the need to make the most out of my War Table time. I have jumped out of a main story quest because I felt the need to go on another War Table mission. This should NOT happen.

-  Completed missions, get rid of them. They have been completed I don't want to have to hover over a bunch of icons to see which ones have been completed and have not been completed.

-  I keep feeling dread from this system. It just reminds me so much of the Android games that sell you those gems for real money to speed them up.

Controls / Interface...

-  DA:I tactical view is a mess... It was designed for controller and modified for keyboard and mouse, lets just be honest here. I used it every battle at least once in Origins. I try to avoid it in Inquisition. This should tell you something. That's all that needs to be said here.

-  Clicking on an icon on the map should not center the thing you clicked on. That is a console thing.

-  I REALLY miss holding both mouse buttons to run.

-  Auto-run should be a toggle. I should be holding W and tap G and let go of W and keep running. I should not have to stop then press G.

-  Back on the options menu should not open up a confirmation window on PC.

-  I want to zoom out from my character without popping into tactical view every, freaking, time!

-  Press F to loot... Press F again to Take All! Let me guess it is Press X to Loot and Press X to Take all on Console...

-  Not sure if I forgot the tutorial or not but it took me some 40 hours into the game before I figured out how to replenish my non-heath potions. Controller interface has a button to replenish. You have to click the potion to replenish on the PC version. I did not know this.

Graphics / Performance (i7-2600k @ 4.8Ghz / GTX780 @ 1.4Ghz / 16GB RAM / 2 SSDs in RAID0)...

(I played manually maxed out, beyond Ultra, with MSAA off. Got 60fps or more at 1080p most of the time)

-  MSAA... What in your right mind made you think this was a good idea? SMAA please and thank you!!!

-  Depth of Field and Motion Blur should be separate. They are both one of those effects that is based on personal preference.

-  I would of liked an FOV slider but I can understand it is not exactly a simple matter. Just want to point out I would like this in every game ever for PC. If this was an FPS I would get headaches after about an hour of play. Third person does not bother me much but even then it is an issue for some people.

Bugs (Specifically ones I have had)...

-  Click-able menu options all over the game interface do not register that my mouse is hovering over them or that I click them or the hover point is not were it should be. This is fixed by moving my mouse off the screen onto my second monitor using Border-less Window.

-  Draconology quest is broken... http://forum.bioware...stern-approach/

-  Dragons' Bane Achievement is broken. Everyone knows this, not going to bother linking.

Origin / DRM Issues (The I Can't List, or at least can't easily)...

-  Add as a non-Steam game because of the way Origin works.

-  Use Steam Overlay

-  Inject SMAA

-  Stream to SteamOS and use a controller on my 55" TV in the living room. Controller support is now useless to me. Yes I have a super long HDMI cable I could use but that is a clunky bunch of running back and forth just to get into the game.

-  The DRM mechanism is hard on SSDs / HDDs. I am not saying it will or will not damage my SSD. I am saying it is unnecessarily contributing to wear.

*-*  The fact that cracking the game fixes all of these issues. DRM is not the solution.... you have heard this a million times... piracy is a service problem (Dragon Age Keep is a good example of a service btw, Companion app like Ubisoft has would be another example.)... etc... etc... etc.

Good thing(s) I need to point out...

-  NO MORE BIOWARE POINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy the money I am about to give you because this will be the fist time I will be buying your DLC.

*I may or may not add to this list. I will try to add visible edits if I do.*

Agree about helmets. The option to hide for each character is needed imo, like divinity original sin had.

There is a thread where everyone has basically pooled all of their suggestions and this pretty much all been mentioned tbh.

That's good, I just want to make sure because I feel like this is a serious step in the right direction for Bioware after quite a few years of disappointment at least for me. For the last several years I felt like I only had CD Projekt RED to rely on. I practically throw money at that company.

i agree with most points made. Especially about pc controls. I also want to be able to zoom in more like on characters faces during convos. Did anyone know Cullen has lion helmet?

Also I made a suggestion in a thread about the war table as I find the same as you that having to go back to skyhold is just tedious. Being able to access it through camps or strongholds would be much better, by sending messengers or ravens for example. Ridiculous to be out exploring then fast travel back to skyhold, access the war table them go right back there!

I have the same issue where things i am selecting in menus are not working in the console version but there is no way to fix it, it's happening in the potions menu, i try using the analogue stick to use a health potion and cant because it just doesn't work.

XB1 player here. The tac cam isn't so hot on console, either. The problem is that it's being modeled as a real camera, like it's on a drone, moving around. It avoids world objects and ducks under obstructions leading to sudden views about a foot off the ground. You have to steer it down hallways indoors. The camera should be ghost, high above or passing through objects. Zooming in and watching the battle progress from different angles, or watching the enemy take my explosive bolt to their sad little loser face, is good fun, but I hit too many spots where the camera gets stuck on world objects.

I realized they probably couldn't do a split mesh for an open world, but, I dunno, a little transparency for obstructing polygons?

Thanks for this, I agree with all of your recommendations.

I thought I'd just tack on two suggestions of mine.

1. Music in Skyhold

The music is awesome, mostly. It sets a great tone and makes me feel like I'm in a fantasy epic. It's also usually spot on to help build the mood. Elven forests, dragon fights, Orlesian parties... all great. Everywhere except Skyhold. In Skyhold I don't need Da-Da-Da-DUM-Da-Da-Da-DUM drums when I'm comparing this piece of armour on that guy and that piece of armour on this guy. I'm at home, safe in my magic infused stony mountain top fortress. I need something calming. In Skyhold, I like to browse through the Codex. Yes I can do this anywhere, but it's usually at the end of my play session where I want to do some lore reading, and Skyhold is where I start and end my sessions to do the war table stuff. It's very hard to read lore with triumphant, energetic, we ARE SPARTA music da-da-da-da-DUM playing in the background. It's so annoying... I mute the volume while here.

2. Runes and Masterwork guidance

When Dagna (sp?) arrives in Skyhold, the dwarven rune caster, speaking to her doesn't let you know how to go about making runes. In fact the camera pans around all the equipment, suggesting that it is somehow vital to making runes as part of her introduction. Like that big black press thing on the first left. I spoke to her, and to the blacksmith guy regarding masterwork items several times to see if I was missing something. I didn't have a clue. Only later I stumbled across the option in a craft screen. Her dialog actually serves no purpose, other than a very brief background story. The actual crafting is It's just another tab in the crafting screen, or just another item to a recipe, and that the new weird black press like device isn't in fact involved. I think some instructional text, and a free rune to walk us through it the first time (led by Dagna) would be helpful. I eventually found it, but I was very confused for a good 10 minutes. Even masterwork items aren't anything more than a pre-existing recipe having one more special ingredient. This can be better explained.

Also, I wonder why my Inquisitor is doing all the work. With a blacksmith and rune caster in the room just standing around doing nothing... while I'm I at the actual device clicking away. Why are they there exactly? Much like the gardener who doesn't harvest plants. "No no, I'm the Inquisitor... I'll do the picking of the leaves thank you very much." Haha... I know... it's a game right, but some things are just a bit silly.

Ill pass this thread on in an attempt to collect player suggestions and get them to make a patch.
