Highest one I have found is the tier 2 Waveblade longsword, I can't seem to be able to locate a tier 3 longsword schematic anywhere. Any help would be awesome.

I finished the game, found no tier 3 longsword schematic, Cass was sporting an axe.

In general, I thought the 1H weapon schematics were rare compared to the other weapons (I was a DD rogue, but wanted to upgrade Cass/Blackwall weapons).

Best 1 handed weapon i have found so far is a masterwork axe t3 schematics. From one of the tombs in hissing waste.

You can buy it in the fortress at Empire du lion (no idea about the spelling but you get the idea I hope).

You can't. The merchant does not hold a single Tier 3 Sword schematic. He holds Tier 3 Sword Upgrades, but not the weapon themselves. So if anyone can give a definitive answer to this question I'd appreciate it.

So that's the reason why my Sword&Shield Inquisitor accompanied by a Sword&Shield Cassandra SUCK TOTAL **** AND I HAD TO SPEND 60 MINS BASHING CORYPHEUS' SKULL . Seriously my party damage at 19 levels is horrible .

I found a dwarven longsword schematic in one of the dungeons. DPS is not as high compared to an axe.

Well several hours further in to the game (now level 19), still no sign of them. Plenty of Axes, plenty of Mauls, plenty of Greatswords, Staffs coming out my ears but no, literally no high end one-handed Swords in loot or for sale.

Then it must have been yet another two-handed sword, I didn't double check. Really seems to be unfairly divided and if you're unlucky with drops, it's tough luck for you.

Dawrven sword is tier 3 but I don't remember where I got it. Also got Caliburn which is a pretty awesome unique sword, also don't remember where I got. They exist though.

Those aren't schematics, though. And Caliban is a drop from Kaltenzahn and with that particular High Dragon being level 21, you won't exactly be able to get the sword early on.

It's still a random drop. Kinda hard to come by unless you know exactly where to get it and even then it'll probably involve a lot of reloading.

Does it at least look decent? Most longswords look like something a rundown thug would wield.

It looks pretty good, double edged straight blade with spear point type tip.

found out it's a random drop, best bet is to save scum chests in the hissing wastes.....I feel like you should be able to buy this schematic since it only has average damage compared to the other 1 handers......

best greatsword schematic is in the tomb near the vendor in hissing wastes. That has a masterwork serrated greatsword schematic. Hissing wastes has your armour and the tombs have your weapons, well some of them.

I'm getting kinda pissed about this. I have found dozens of greatswords, daggers, bows, and staves(staffs?), but hardly any longswords. The best single hand weapon I've found is that unique axe that did 191 damage, and that was ages ago, I just hit level 21. I can't find a single decent longsword for Cassandra. I just acquired the Sulevin Blade, and was like, "Finally, an awesome longsword!" nope, greatsword, another to add to the pile of dozens I've found for iron Bull.

 

The best schematic I have for a sword is the crappy Superb Longsword of the Dragon, which only does 173 damage. Longswords are way too rare in this game.

I can't tell you how disappointing this is. Having just committed to a Sword and Shield Champion, this is going to be a long haul. I assumed I could craft a blade from Dragon's remains as I haven't found any strong one handed swords. Oh well, perhaps the developers will release something down the line. As in to late.

Aye, the Serpents Rage seems to be the highest build you can do. I built mine with dragon items and do very well with it. *crosses fingers for dev update before my next build*
