This is highly debatable. Playing on a keyboard and mouse doesn't make it more flexible than playing on a controller. It is a matter of being familiar and comfortable.
Say I drive a vehicle that has a stick. I have been using a stick all my life when driving a vehicle. Doesn't mean I can't drive an automatic. I can drive an automatic vehicle down the road but I will always be familiar with driving a stick.
Most console gamers have been playing with controllers that it's second nature to them.
I think his point was the keyboard has like 50+ buttons available to use, plus the mouse, while controllers like have 10, plus two sticks and a pad.
From this point of view, keyboards and mice are far more felxible due to the amount of controls and customization that they offer us as a result, this is a fact and is not debatable in ths slightest.
Whether you are more comfortable with it is a different matter, you are arguing personal comfort of the control scheme as opposed to overall flexibility of the control scheme. These are two different things.
I will not say that the keyboard is better, or the controller. But if you have 50 buttons at your disposal, or only 10, which offers more flexibility, the answer is very obvious.
