What.

The.

****?!

Apparently you can train for a year and somehow become immune to mind control and demonic possession. Why isn't this training being given to every mage and every Templar? Cassandra told me this and it blew my mind. It makes no sense whatsoever for the Chantry to not give this training to the needed parties. It doesn't matter how difficult it is. If someone doesn't make it then so be it but for them to not even try? Come on man. That's just absolutely ridiculous.

How do you guys feel about it? Am I making a big deal out of nothing or what?

You fast and meditate for a year. There is something else to it as well that is revealed later.

How can you tranquil a mundane?

Wait, so they don't dream anymore? Where do the "gifts" come from then? Whatever they are.

What are they?

I wish my Inquisitor could be a Seeker instead of a templar.

The abilities would've come in handy against not only demons, but mages and Templars.

sigh.

Thanks man.

I doubt that it has to be a spirit of faith specifically. Any strong enough spirit should be able to pull it off. Wow man. The Chantry is so full of ****. They have the cure to the threat of demonic possession in their hands and still see fit to oppress mages. smh

You're right, it doesn't have to be a spirit of Faith. Remember how in DA2, Anders/Justice temporarily restored Karl's mind? In that case, Justice was just in close proximity of Karl, plus he's a spirit of Justice and not Faith.

The Seekers (or rather the Lord Seekers), however have always known about the Rite of Tranquility and how to reverse it. I just have to point out that the Lord Seekers kept it a secret, even from other Seekers and from the Chantry.

See http://dragonage.wik...ersing_the_Ritefor a quick background on how reversing Tranquility works. It should be noted that mages don't get their magic back even if Tranquility was reversed.

I think the reason it is a Spirit of Faith is because of that meditation and year they spend contemplating their religious beliefs, which makes it easier for the Spirit of Faith to be summoned across the Veil to "cure" them once the Rite is performed on them. Sure it might be harder to summon them, but it's probably considered more acceptable than any other form of Spirit (or Demon) that could be used in it's place.

As for how it's possible to make a non-mage Tranquil, all mortals (save for Dwarves apparently) are still connected to the Fade, since otherwise, they'd not be able to venture there within their dreams.
