I am curious about this if I just ran into an awesome bug or found a secret to on of the amulets. I was wondering around Crestwood when I came out of a cave system. I was debating which way to go when out of the mist, I see this figure emerge. It was a wolf... and yes, it happend JUST like that... it was awesome looking as this big black wolf just slowly materializes from the foggy mist (KUDOS BIOWARE!)... anyways I digress. As it was coming towards me, I thought "Great, bring it on".. and then 2 more were following. NOW it's going to be a fun fight! However, I couldn't target them. They didn't show up red on the Hud nor when I put my cursor over them. I was thinking "WTF is this?" THEN the AMAZING part happened... they gathered around Blackwall. Then a 4th came up and did the same. They gatehered around him and stayed put. We moved around, and they followed. We then attacked a bandit, and they attacked alongside us! I was wondering around with a pack of wolves! The only think I can think of was the amulet that Blackwall was carrying... and that was The Packmaster amulet. I, however, am not able to verify this. I saved the game and took of the amulet. They eventually wondered away but didn't attack. I reloaded my save right before I took off the amulet, but was immediately attacked by the pack that was already surrounding me. I've reloaded to an earlier save before I met up with my wolf friends, and have found them twice fighting others and they were aggressive towards me. Is this a secret change that the Amulet can provide... as in "3% chance the wolves in a nearby area will detect you as their Packmaster and will follow you as one of their own"... or was this just the most epic glitch ever and I can never have my wolf friends back!
Wolve's join my pack?

Okay... I've know been able to do it twice. I was standing at the entrace of the gave again, and they once more travled around and came right up to me. They will follow me around and won't attack, but will attack my targets for me. I have had a few die on me, and they've respawend back in their "area", and still won't attack. They also seem to have a set area that they patrol that they won't leave. But if I attack anything close by, then they'll engage and help out (the Rift is just outside their are... too bad
hehehe) I've had them attack Druffolo, Templars, and Bandits. I don't know how to upload pics that I took to show this, but I took a couple of screenshots. I've also fast traveled to a camp to re-heal, and when I walked back down the path, they were still "friendly".

Actually... it is for pack of wolves. You acquire it from a wolf after you free them in the Hinterlands. It's description is: Token of the Packmaster, 2% bleed on hit, A wolf droppedthis token.
Just interesting. Would be neat if this is a possibility as opposed to just a glitch. Think it's bad with Me (DW Rogue), Cassandra, Blackwall, and Iron Bull is bad... now add 3-4 wolves! Time to get a new pair of shorts I think!!! lol

You're right.. .it doesn't. That is why I'm curious if this was just a great glitch or if it is a "secret" attribute to this amulet.

Curious if any Dev's have been able to see this yet to shed light on this... or if anyone else has experienced this phenomenon?

I've also experienced this... I don't remember if I had the Packmaster's Amulet, but it does sound familiar... Do you get that from killing the Terror Demon controlling the Redcliffe Farm's Wolves?
It was really weird when it did happen once, in the Exalted Plains. They walked up to me, friendly, and seemed to gather around me (four of them) like companions. Unlike my normal companions, they stuck close to me and didn't walk around in circles trying to find the right place to stand... So these wolves are smart.

I was looking for someone having the same thing happening to their game since I just experienced it. It seems IT IS tied to wearing the packmaster amulet since it never happened to me since I equipped it in crestwood. There are 4 black wolves following me around like I'm their leader! Pretty cool attribute if you ask me you guys should try it, feels epic.
EDIT: Once I go into tactical view they're circled in blue as allies, so problably no bug but intended.

That is pretty cool actually. Maybe try going to like..Exalted Plains and see if the wolves there respond in kind?
