Does it have to show boobs or something to qualify as a "full romance?"

I just finished her personal quest "of somewhat fallen fortune" and now I can't start the following quest;

 

"heraldry from a herald".

 

How can I start that one? 

 

Pretty sure it's triggered by a choice in her conversation tree somewhere, where she mentions how much she'd like to see her family's old crest from before their disgrace. Just go into the Investigate options about her personally, and you should find it, I'd think.

I thought cuddling with her on the couch was awesome and felt very satisfying (is there any more romance scenes after that, without spoilers?)  I thought sex was implied, they just felt they didn't need to show it.

Nope. They just held hands. Like Bastilla in Kotor I. It was a fade to black where they just kissed standing up for a while.

Good god with the way some people are acting with whether or not Josephine is a "real romance" (spoiler alert, she is), I can see why the devs would want to remove romances completely.

I don't want any spoilers in the answers besides a yes or a no, but my question is...is Josephine the same type of romance as say Cassandra. Not to sound shallow but I'm very far into Josephines romance arc and we've still yet to do anything but kiss. 

 

This is very different than what happens with Cassandra, I'll leave it at that for the sake of spoilers.

 

So what I'm asking is...will there be more to the romance? Or do we just continue kissing?

BG2, KOTOR, and Jade Empire had zero nudity. I wouldn't say that made the games less mature or the romances less full.

Like I said - Bastila obviously just kissed the Male PC in KoTOR for many hours on end during that fade to black. Her line about "we shouldn't have done that" is really a reference to the very long PG-13 make out session, with the fade to black just being there because kissing animations are difficult.

You don't see anything sexual besides kissing, but sex is certainly implied. But I think its right the way they did it for josephine's character.

The girl is delicate, sweet, and charming and I think her romance fit her character very well.

Indeed. She's a devout believer, but while she lives her life by those beliefs, she's not fanatical about them, nor is she intolerant of those who don't share her beliefs. And yes, I know, when you say you you don't believe in the Maker, "Cassandra disapproves" pops up. Big deal. A bit of disapproval is ahrdly the end of the world, and it sure as hell doesn't mark her out as an intolerant zealot. Would she prefer you shared her beliefs? Of course. Does she hate you for not doing so? No. In fact, that she's willing to work with you - and even follow you - when you don't share her beliefs and worldview marks her out as a surpsingly tolerant person.

 

*sigh* And yet again, despite being an atheist, when it comes to discussions regarding religion on the internet, I've ended up on the side of the religious people. It really does amaze me how many of my fellow unbelievers are so intolerant of anyone who dares to believe...

To be clear I don't really care about the 'sex scene' as this is always a bit cringe worthy in computer games, but I want to see there relationship has progressed to a full relationship even if the action happens off scene

 

Really unbelievable what Bioware have done with the female love interests: Sera is far too annoying, Cassandra is too butch (surely this is what Anita Sarkeesian describes as "a man with boobs" trope), and now I find that Josephine, who is just about OK, is only half a romance.

 

I really do feel that the Dragon Age team is trying to make some kind of social statement with this game, rather than just give its 'male' players something they might actually enjoy (which shouldn't take anything away from the female players).

Thanks, its just my opinion / criticism and I am dealing with it quite successfully... I honestly haven't been 'triggered' at all, so no need to worry
