Its explicitly stated that there would be push-to-talk options available, as well as text chat via origin support(?) in order to communicate with your party.
Origin chat is only available to your friends. So if that is what you mean, then you are assuming that everyone exclusively plays with people on their friends list. In matchmaking, there is no text chat option to speak to your party whatsoever. When talking about the communication options for the platforms, its explicitly stated (when on the topic of talking to your party): 'you can also use the text, the text chat on PC right?'.
Text chat exclusive to people on your friends list is not a communication option for a party in Dragon Age Inquisitions multiplayer,. It is an option of any person using the Origin client. I would equate this to coming out and saying 'we offer live chat for users, via skype'. No. You do not provide that service. Origin does, and it means tabbing out of the game, bringing up a chat window and typing out your message while the game is minimized. Then you bring the game back up, play, then tab out again to read the response. Are you guys seriously suggesting this is an option for communication to your party?
Push to talk is not a feature, so this proves that the developer flat out lied on the live stream. I dont think I need to cover this any more than that.
I would really appreciate it if someone from Bioware could comment on this. Thanks.
