I must have missed something. I haven't been able to access any decor for Skyhold. I've already upgraded the three areas, but my court hall has no custom decor options. Where do I go to buy some or how do I unlock it?

I'd like to know this too. Are there Dwarven Paragon decor statues somewhere? Also, it'd be nice to find a few new thrones to choose from.

There is a merchant in Val Royeaux that sells some of the decor.

I'm looking for decor to replace the scaffolding in the throne room. I already have windows and drapery.

I have the same question regarding the scaffolding and huge holes in the ceiling. I assumed they'd go away as the story progressed, but 40 hours in and Skyhold is still a dump (albeit a dump with lovely drapes).

Did you upgrade the main tower/Garden/Courtyard.

I don't think it goes away until you do those requisitions.

I upgraded the garden/courtyard but not the tower. Do you need all three to make Skyhold stop looking like a crack house?

I've upgraded all three areas already. When can we get decorations for the throne room? And I don't mean the mosaics!

I think you need to do enough main story quests. Each time you do a quest and come back, Skyhold improves a bit, and eventually (for me, after completing Here Lies the Abyss) it gets fixed enough that you can choose a decor.

I got access to all the decor at once. I think it was after completing the second main story quest.

I want to know where to find the dang quarries. I stumbled across the lumber yards by sheer chance, but have had no luck with the quarries.

I recommend unlocking the storm coast and Western approach then make a save with the forward scouts perk unlocked, then you can see quarries and logging camps on the maps, and i believe there are enough between those two maps to unlock all the upgrades,

If you have enough perks you can use it to have the sites maked on the maps.

But I know you will find at least two quarries at the Western Approach, one at the Exalted Plains, and at least one at the Storm Coast. After I got the perk I found loads of sites that I didn't see before.

Progressing from the main Inquisition quests seems to be the answer. I'm doing "Here In Lies the Abyss" but I still have "Wicked Hearts..." and Trainers quests to do because I want to finish my Orlesian campaigns along anything that might have influence with the nobles at the grand ball.

I personally find the main upgrades (tower, courtyard - haven't done garden yet) to be extremely boring and not worth wasting an inquisition point on Forward Scouts. My question is how do I update my freaking bed???

The beds you can buy (along with stained glass and some other stuff) from a store that opens up in Val Royeaux - it's across from that cafe area (well, it looked like to me anyway).

The decor has unlocked for me, yay! Sadly, no dwarven paragon statues. I think I'll go with the Tevinter style, for now. Now I just need to get more throne options somehow  :)

So will completing more main quests renovate other areas in Skyhold? There's still the library and other towers tha aren't fixed up.

Decor unlocks after you finish either "Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts" or "Here Lies The Abyss".

Big beat me to it.

Also, in case someone doesn't know, the thrones are unlocked via judging various npcs or completing quests (for example, completing Vivienne's personal quest unlocks the Mage Throne, which is imo, the best looking one :P ). The throne accessories are unlocked by completing resource missions at war table with various advisors.

Also no matter how far you get into the game the walls and roofs will remain broken and the rubble never even gets picked up.  Hell the hallway to your war table has the same rubble on the floor the whole game.  You think at some point someone would have at least thought to pick up all the trip hazards...

I had something with crows. Antivan, I think. It looked pretty awesome.
