It's hilarious when the console gamers get salty over the PC version being better. They start saying outright lying about the PC version being "bugged to hell".
The only version of the game that has crashed on me was the Xbone version. And 60 FPS on PC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 30 FPS with drops BELOW that on the PS4.
Get the PC version OP. Consoles are for console exclusives. PC's are for PC exclusives and all multi-plats, where they look and run better.

yea i'm still not decided on the choice.
i don't think there's any doubt that PC is multiple times better than console.
but from what i've seen recently with AC Unity, Far Cry 4, Lords of the Fallen all these games seem to have a bigger variety of problems on pc. makes it seem like they were built for console then ported to PC which in my view results in a more stable console experience, better graphics or not.
i'd rather not install origin on my PC, and i don't want to wait for patches to optimize stuff here and there because of compatibility with this graphics card or this version of windows or that kind of processor etc.
if i'm deciding just based on visual quality, pc is a winner without a doubt, but there's also other factors that play a role in the decision, that's why i'm not sure still what to do, i wish they had a demo so i can try it on the ps4 and on my pc to see how they both behave and ultimately decide.
on the note of patching, i still don't think anyone has answered my question, has there been any patches released for the game? fixing any specific issues that users have been facing? alike the AC Unity patch 1.3 which was released the other day, and indeed fixed FPS greatly on my PC.
i'm reading stuff about gender bugs that corrupt saves, music dying randomly in some menus/zones etc.
thanks guys for helping shape my opinion and clarifying things i'm concerned with.

No patch released so far. Everyone's waiting for one. I don't expect to see one until late next week at the earliest, IMHO.
Again, I've played about 40 hours so far on PC without any major issues. Also watching Angry Centaur walkthrough on youtube, and he has a LOT more bugs than I do on the Xbone version. Have seen characters teleport and go through walls/doors numerous times on his playthrough.
This engine, bTW is a PC engine. It was made and optimized for PC's not consoles. Consoles are the port if anything, but it's more likely that they were both in development simultaneously.
You also brought up AC: Unity and Lords of the Fallen... I'm not sure those are the games to bring up if you're trying to say PC version of games have more issues, because the complete opposite is true for those games. The digital foundry articles on those games will confirm this, as will benchmarks on PC tech sites.
AC Unity runs at an average 25 FPS on PS4. That's unplayable, IMHO. The game is a pig on PC as well, but it doesn't go below 30 FPS on PC. And the other bugs are pretty apparent on both versions of the game. So again, PC is the better version of the game.
Same for lords of the fallen. In the Giant Bomb quick look, the PS4 version of the game CRASHED on them, and apparently ti wasn't; the only time the game did that. IT also performs WAY worse on PS4 than on PC - even if the PC version doesn't run as well as it should - it still runs and looks better than the console versions.
IT's been the same narrative time and time again on multi-plat games this generation, especially those coming from Ubisoft. They are buggy on every platform, and they don't run as well as they should. Except that on PC that means 30+ FPS and on consoles that means 20-30 FPS. You tell me, which version would you rather play?
Bottom line is, the console warriors above are lying to you. The PC version is just as stable as the console version, I'd say MORE stable than at least the Xbone version. And it runs and looks better on PC. You cna also opt for mouse and keyboard OR gamepad.
There is no reason for you to buy the console version over the PC version. The only way I'd recommend the console version is if your hardware was weaker than PS4. But it isn't.
Good luck whatever you choose man, the game itself is awesome, so you'll have fun with it whatever platform you choose in the end. I'm only suggesting that the PC will give you the best experience, given your hardware. The rest is up to you.

I have mostly 50-60fps on average at it's really smooth. I can play the game like a PC shooter. I can turn the screen really fast without stutter. For consoles it was locked at 30FPS. On PC 30FPS is already stuttering. I wanted to know why on consoles it's 30FPS there's no stuttering and PC if 30FPS it stutters. I'm clueless here. Unless console gamers don't really notice stuttering.

Your post is funny; didn't see console gamers bashing PC in this thread. From my part, all I'm saying is that with the PS4 version of THIS game, you know what you're getting. My argument wasn't "oh, PS4 is si pretty!" It's more that on the graphics side, the difference is not 4K vs 480p, and to date, no major bugs has been reported.
Reason (well, one of) I'm playing consoles, is it's my job to tinker and troubleshoot and fiddle around tech stuff, so when I get home with a new game, all I want is to pop it in and play. It seems, reading from this forum that AT THE MOMENT, playing on PC is a coin flip.
Don't get your panties in a bunch, flameboy.

As I pointed out to the OP: My suggestion is the PC because his PC hardware is better than his PS4. If it wasn't I'd happily suggest the PS4 version. My suggestion is based on objective facts. Your suggestion is based on your fanboyism.

i agree with most of what you said, i wouldn't say 25 or 30 is unplayable though.
the only experience i have with a game on both was shadow of mordor, it ran on a steady 30fps on the ps4, and on my pc it ran between 30 to 50 maybe it's a personal preference but the variance of fps for me is a bit more annoying than a lower steady fps.
again graphics quality and fps is not the only deciding factor for me. bugs and hassle are a big factor too, and from what you're saying consoles are buggier, other people say pc is buggier, i'm sure there's a bit of confirmation bias on both sides, we're all guilty of it
but i'm trying to identify if there's a quality of life difference playing the game on either platforms (GFX aside)
also like yankblan said the hassle is a big part for me, and like him i do troubleshoot and fiddle with computers and fix them for work, i appreciate popping a game in a drive and playing right away with no fuss.
thanks for your answer about the patch, is there any info on what will be addressed in that patch or any preview patch notes or something? what do you think i the top thing they're aiming to address from your experience?

There has been no communication from Bioware on expected fixes as far as I know so we don't know.
My guess is quest fixes will be a priority, followed by possible graphics bugs/performance issues.

one way the pc version..just blows away any argument for consoles.
if you have a good AMD card.change the directx 11 settings to mantle.and reboot the game.. super fast framerate and stunning jaw dropping graphics.. mantle was developed for the likes of the frostbite engine.
I have the pc version and my brother has the ps4 version..and I will be honest and say the ps4 version is good.. but if you have the amd card and mantle setting enabled its in a class of its own.
loving the game by the way. I just hope there is expansions later for the game

You really are very immature with the way you are responding to these folks. Though it sounds like the OP has already made up his mind and there is nothing wrong with his PC preference, but AGAIN, the developers have said that FOR THIS PARTICULAR GAME, the PS4 is equal to a PC on high settings. Most people are going to be happy about that. The game looks and runs beautiful on a PS4 and looks even more beautiful when connected to a good monitor. You are absolutely correct in saying that a PC, depending on the specs and perhaps even over the last couple of years is better than the PS4. Many games look A LOT better on a PC when compared to a console counterpart. NOT THIS GAME..at least not by A LOT...it will look a little better in some cases with some settings on ultra. Specs means zero to the average consumer. The average consumer cares about the overall experience. The videos HAVE showed that the differences between the console and a high end PC running the game at 1080P at 60FPS is negligible. Yes, slightly sharper textures, slightly more grass, etc. However, for many, to upgrade an existing PC to get that small increase isn't worth it..not to mention the inconsistency that often happens to an experience on a PC when the developers release a big patch (driver issues, SLI issues, etc). The only way I would consider getting a new gaming desktop (which I'm due) is if I could easily game in 4K on a 27"+ Gsync monitor when Nvidia or AMD release their new cards next year which 'might' make 4K gaming at a reasonable FPS worth it for a couple of thousand next year. Until then, a lot of folks are quite satisfied spending $60 for a game which is equal to a PC on high settings (CONFIRMED BY DEVELOPERS) so get off your childish high horse...and again..I am predominately a PC gamer heavily invested in MMOs for over a decade, Skyrim on a PC, etc and I am very much the tinkerer of settings, drivers, etc. If you can seem some huge difference looking at this videos or in the ridiculous "in its own class" like the poster above me, you must be super human.

The guy calls me a flameboy, and I'm the immature one? Ok.
The developers aren't going to say what Digital Foundry, with a detailed analysis says: that the consoles are a mix of medium and high settings, while the PC is capable of Ultra settings, a notch above high.
So we went from the OP who owns a gaming PC more powerful than a PS4 to the "average consumer" all of a sudden? The OP is clearly nto the average consumer. I'm assuming that things like better graphics and 60 FPS means something to him. Otherwise he'd probably stayed playing on consoles last gen playing games at 25 FPS and 500p with more jaggies than polygons on the screen..
He appears ot be concerned with bugs, but the only issues are SHARED by the consoles.
His assertion that consoles are more stable are easily debunked, just by reading this very forum! There's severla threads with people having issues with the console verisons of the game.
The bottom line is there is no difference in stability. At least not a clear difference.
But the difference betwen 30 FP and 60 FPS is crystal clear, IMHO.

I posted videos showing that I just don't see that..and I have 20/20 vision. Can you please show me a video where it is crystal clear? Now in all fairness, I don't think any video captures what its like in person and maybe I need to see it to believe it, but what I can say is that as a graphics *&$#& (won't let my type the word I want to type lol) which I am in previous PC games...I'm 'very satisfied' with the PS4 connected to a PC Monitor which surprised me.

Do not do PC. There's a plethora of issues and there's no knowing when they will be able to fix it. They're working on the issues but there are no guarantees. Modding is also off the table anyway, because there are a number of technical obstacles standing in the way of doing that. So what's the point in playing the PC version of this game, you know? Apparently combat via PC is terrible, too.
PS4 is the optimal choice. I had the game on 360 and it was atrocious. I returned it. My friend had the game on PC and he returned it. Too many bugs. Too many glitches. You can't reassign control keys either, so you're stuck with whatever they give you at the moment. Apparently a lot of people on last gen consoles and PC have asked for refunds.
Do yourself a favor and go for the PS4. I can say, without a doubt, that I am loving my PS4. I just picked it up a few weeks ago and it's amazing. I can't wait for the exclusive games either. Kingdom Hearts 3, that Bloodbourne game, the Persona games, and a number of others. I'm also looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077. PS4 is worth it even without DA:I. But with DA:I, my god, that game runs splendidly. I've encountered minor bugs and glitches. Nowhere near compared to the issues I had on 360. And nowhere near to the issues PC players are experiencing. If you're going to pay 60 to 70 bucks for a game, play it on the best console.

"The PC version offers presets ranging from low all the way up to ultra, with the console versions seemingly falling somewhere between medium and high."
"By ticking this up to ultra (on PC), however, we noted a dramatic increase in depth of field resolution used during cut-scenes. While the game uses bokeh depth of field on consoles, the lower resolution of the effect results in noticeable pixelation artifacts around edges, leaving scenes looking a bit rough. The ultra setting on PC eliminates these anomalies altogether and produces a much more pleasing effect."
"Shadow quality isn't bad on console but it's clear that on the PC, you can enjoy much cleaner shadows that extend further into the environment."
"Unfortunately, the higher resolution on PS4 comes with a catch in the form of noticeable performance dips during strenuous sequences. During a normal run of play, the game does a good job of maintaining the target frame-rate but frame-rate faltered sometimes during battle sequences and sometimes even traversal across the landscape. "
Also none of the videos you linked are 60 FPS.
Try this one (you need to be using chrome to see 60 FPS).

...and this is exactly what happened to me 3 years ago when Skyrim was released and I spent quite a bit on a very high end gaming laptop with dual 580Ms (at that time, the top laptop card) only to have issues with micro stuttering and a game that wasn't compatible with SLI. It was one of the most frustrating experiences to spend that much for that horrible experience....which eventually got better through drivers over time...though the microstuttering never completely went away for me.

I was told by two PC players they couldn't rebind controls. I'm glad that isn't the case after all, but it does not compensate for the boatloads of other PC issues - so paramount that BioWare devs created a PC Community Issues thread as a PR move to set minds at ease.
As for Cyberpunk 2077, that game has long been confirmed for PS4.
