Ok, so you wanted to get rid of the bra and underwear... your call. But why do I run around in my fancy pj's when I am at skyhold? Why can I not sit at my throne in my armor? Why do I have to discuss strategy at my war table with my underclothes?

Please just let us wear armor unless we take it off.

AT LEAST give us the option to change our pjs color. Black or something.

Just add it to a TON of stupid decisions made at Bioware. Did they even stop to think how silly it looks to stand around in that outfit when the rest is in armor?

I've said it before and I'll say it again:  I could deal with the causal clothes if I could change the color.  The design is actually pretty good, but the colors are bland and awful.  Folks have been calling those clothes PJs since before the game came out.

When I actually saw my character wake up in those clothes, I started laughing.  Then I started cringing when I remembered that I'd have to look at that all the time in Skyhold.   On a story level (avoiding spoilers,) being in causal clothes in the Keep makes no sodding sense considering what you have to do to get to Skyhold.

You think its bad? Create a male elf. The situation with the pjs actually gets even more cringe worthy.

I did so on a female elf, which really isn't any better.  She's got that god-awful "sexy" strut to go along with looking terrible in that mistake outfit.  Bonus points that her hand hovers in the air above her chest when she's asleep (yes, I have a screenshot of that one.)

I'm guessing the outfit is mandatory because it doesn't cause any issues in Skyhold's cutscenes. I had one cutscene where the front coat-tails of my Inquisitor's outfit were floating out in front of him for ages because he was sitting down. It looked ridiculous and spoilt an important scene. I'd rather have had the Inquisitor wearing the Skyhold outfit in that scene since it would have prevented that cinematic glitch.

Being able to recolour the outfit would be nice, though.

A recolor is all I want and (maybe I'm wrong,) but it seems like a color wheel would be a fairly simple thing to add to the game.  If I could, say, make that outfit black with red trim, I think it would look sharp.

As it stands, it doesn't look too horrible on my dwarf, so I can deal with it.  Reluctantly.  :P

Yes, but the male version of elves gets even worse. You're skinnier then a terror demon, the arms sink into the body, and the male elf still looks like he has boobs.

An option to have those WITH armor on should be on. I hate them as well. At least they could make it customizable!

But, judging someone's fate while wearing pyjamas is like, the ultimate representation of "Hahaha I am the ruler you're so beneath me LOL" level of epicness.

That's simply <Monty Burns-style> excellent. </MBS> -- makes the situation at least a little bit more tolerable. Thanks for the mental image! ;)

Yeah. Here's me supporting at least an 'always wear armor' switch. I hate the PJs with a passion.

I honestly think the simplest thing would be to allow players to wear their armor.  Shoot, if they let us do that, I would customize a look just for Skyhold.

I didn't have any problem with the default clothes. My femqunari is rockin' that outfit.

It might be nice to be able to customize the colour though.

Inq: "What am I wearing?"

Cass: "It's the traditional Inquisitor outfit."

Leliana: *jumps in with glee* "Yes. Isn't it lovely? I had it made specifically for you. It's at the same time casual and regal, but not too regal. You're the Inquisitor not the king."

Inq: "All...right. But the color..."

Cass: "I picked it up, it matches with everything, right?" *Smiles*

Inq: *In very low voice, grunting.* "The same way dirt does."

Leliana: "It even matches last weeks Val Royeaux fashion. Veige was so in! I hope it still is, if not I have some blue and red outfits waiting that are, just, fabolous! Oh, and do you like the boots? They're not what I would have picked but I remember a conversation I had with the Warden, so I went for something more practical."

Inq: "Well, I guess it'll grow on me *cough* like a cancer *cough* Sorry, I'm going to go drink some water."

Wearing armor would be a godsend. Still won't fix my elf male model, but at least I could continue to hide it under selective outfits and then not have to acknowledge its existance (in the case it never gets fixed or improved on). -_-

The tailcoat issue isn't a good excuse. The tailcoats move with the legs when you run. Either they have physics or they have bones for animation. Where they physic'd it should be a non-issue. If animated and they clip through the body up towards the front when you're sitting down, it means its a poor animation job. People who design the armor weighted the vertices to the pelvis bones. All in all, its a shoddy way to do it, and something you'd see in 3-4-5 year old games.

I'd wager we have the old consoles to thank for this issue and the rest of the shoddy animations in this game.

All in all, this f*up really hinders my enjoyment of the game. You just look so f*ing foolish.

I don't care if you're playing an elf, a qunari, a dwarf or a human, male or female, NONE of them look good. NONE of them look any less ridicule.

When the camera views the character from the sides, your inquisitor is showing skin in the bottom slits of his shirt. His pants don't even go a proper height. This is what you expect from night wear, not from a fancy outfit.

We're the leader of the Inquisition. We shouldn't be wearing CASUAL outfits. If we're not going to wear armor because of some bogus technical issue, we should bloody well be wearing something worthy of our station.

There is 0 excuse for this.

When I first saw the one-size fits all skin tight beige co-ordinate with Matrix-like gold plug points in very interesting places, my character was waking up and had evidently been sleeping in it. So... my first thought is, "wow... that's really elaborate sleep gear." Then I noticed my character decided to not get changed (no place to do so) after the frightful elf disappears to never be seen again. (edit: you do wander around Haven in your armour, just meetings at the war table are in your jimmies). Hmmm. This outfit doesn't look like something I'd pack myself, I'm Daelish, not Orlesian. I'm all about nature, forests, leaves... not golden clasps, leather buckles and two-piece leather sleep sets. Nor was I wearing this when I blacked out at that first rift, and I was a prisoner prior to that, so unlikely I arrived in Haven with a suitcase, so Cassandra must've have told someone strip me of my armour, and pour my body into this skin tight outfit while unconscious. A little bit presumptuous on her part. I wonder who was the previous owner.

Then I get to Skyhold where the music incessantly and dramatically drums on that WAR IS APPROACHING  da-da-DA-da-DUM! da-da-DA-da-DUM! da-DA-DUM! ... da-da-dum. Even when I'm in the garden picking flowers. da-da-da-DA-DUM! Epic flower picking! Or shopping. da-da-da-DUM-DA-DA-DUM-DA! Serious shopping. That blank rune is going to be epic. Then I visit my love interest for some one-on-one romance. da-da-da-DUM-DUM-DUM-DAAAAA. Cupid's armed and dangerous. What's happening in the undercroft? DUM-DUM-DUM-DUM. All the while everyone around me is dressed appropriately for the mood the music is beating on about... while I am still wearing someone else's very casual and unstatesman-like clothes sentencing people to death from one of my dozen thrones.

It's a pity I cannot wear the drapes. At least there I can choose a Daelish design. ;)

I absolutely agree with this post.

The Star Trek pyjamas looks out of place, out of context and simply ridiculous when showing up at the War Table and everyone else has their full gear on.

Consider sitting on the judgement throne in your armor? Badass! In your PJ's? Not so much.

Really silly move there, Bioware! There is no reason at all to forcefully strip our character of his/her armor.

This is supposed to be a ROLE PLAYING game, yo!

Indeed. I have seen filler NPC's wearing better rags than this.

Shoudl have been something leather-like at the very least!
