Just add it to a TON of stupid decisions made at Bioware. Did they even stop to think how silly it looks to stand around in that outfit when the rest is in armor?
It makes the war table look like a British sitcom.

Ok, so you wanted to get rid of the bra and underwear... your call. But why do I run around in my fancy pj's when I am at skyhold? Why can I not sit at my throne in my armor? Why do I have to discuss strategy at my war table with my underclothes?
Please just let us wear armor unless we take it off.
AT LEAST give us the option to change our pjs color. Black or something.
You don't sit in a throne wearing armour. That is silly. Formal attire, yes, armour no.
At War Table.. you wear a uniform, no armour unless you are located in a hostile area.
A better Inquisition formal dress is desireable. On this I agree.
I'm so happy right now. It's confirmed that the clothes at Skyhold are a bug.

@bioware @dragonage Will we get visible armor in Skyhold anytime soon? Feels weird to rule the Inquisition in the undergarments... ![]()
@kalabaleek Greetings. What platform are you playing on?
@dragonage I'm on PS4, and this problem occurs on all characters and both profiles on the system.
@kalabaleek This is a known issue that we are currently investigating. We do greatly appreciate your patience while we do so.
@dragonage Thank you for clarifying it actually is an issue and not by design! I can appreciate the best RPG of the century while I wait. ![]()
How in the world did this get through the playtesting unnoticed then?
Oh, wait, I think I know the answer...
Yeah I don't believe that at all. They were running around in the pjs during the live streams. Probably just a miscommunication.
Or they are finally back peddling and realizing how silly the whole thing is. Honestly, judging in my undergarments? Never stops looking silly.
Anyway, that back peddle/"bug fix" is what I'm rooting for. All I've wanted is to be able to wear my armor at Skyhold and hopefully they'll give us that chance. ![]()
Hah, yeah. Let's hope they fix this bug.

And also the slouchy posture - why is the leader the only one not standing straight? Maybe the PJs are so tight, they're pulling the Inq's shoulders forward?

He does look....bored or maybe just inconvenienced by the whole judgement thing.
At the war table too, s/he's hunched over like an 87yr old with osteoporosis
It's not a bug its's a feature
)) the tightest pants in all the land
If I wanna be inquisitioned who better to do it then a muscled guy wearing skin-tight belted hot pants.

Hahaha...no. Anyone who believes this needs to have their picture put in the dictionary next to gullible. This is 100% PR spin.
It should be changed but I think they're making a huge mistake if they try to go the "it was a bug all along" route instead of, "here are options".
I just hope the replacement, if there is one, is good. I'll settle for wearing armor though a really nice formal outfit would be nice. However, BioWare has some questionable tastes between DA2's finery and now this.

Yup, but that's how Bioware rolls.
They lack the courage to admit that they dropped the ball and say 'we made a mistake here; here is the fix (for free).'
Don't be surprised if any customization options come out as pricey DLCs.

If it enables my Inquiz to wear an oversized floppy hat with a gigantic feather sticking out, I am all over that!

You see how easily you bite their marketing strategy? ; )

Hell yes. Pink Velvet, and I want a zebra stripped, fake fur purple coat to go with it, and a cane!

Coming right up. 25$, please.

Maybe I'm just blind but I can't seem to find that statement anylonger. Thought I had seen it earlier this day.
Agree with OP. We could keep our armor for the first part of the game while discussing strategy at the war table. There is no excuse to have it removed at every point after this. If clipping is the concern, forget about it. There are clipping errors elsewhere in the game, and in some armor models anyway.
This needs to be addressed soon. The outfit is sooo ugly if they just let us wear our armor we'd be happy and you could still unequip your armor in skyhold if you like the whole "judging people in pj's" thing. But I honestly don't know how some people aren't be bothered by this. It makes it entirely pointless to play a dwarf, elf or qunari for me. The outfit not only doesnt fit those races but it also doesnt make sense that my elf and qunari would be wearing clothes that are clearly made by humans for humans.
