Wearing my pajamas while judging people... really?

The armor isn't too bad on a human male; It looks like something a noble would wear while walking around his castle. Even dwarves might fit it well.
But a Dalish Elf? A Qunari Mercenary? No way. They need to give us more options, pls.
In case you haven't noticed, the pyjama's are always showing a little on nearly every armor piece. Changing that would change all armors perhaps, which is why they haven't done it.

I wanted more clothing options in Skyhold, But before coming here, I never would have thought that those clothes were pajamas. I thought they were some kind of noble leisurewear. They are way too fancy to constitute what I would have considered pajamas.

It's sad how there's no way DA:I will have mod support because of EA wanting that DLC microtransactions money. The community would fix most of the game's problems.

my biggest issues with the (horrible) outfit is, beside the totally lack of taste about it (but hey, is the same company that think we all love having half the hairstyles being shaved or half shaved and with balding patch even for females after YEARS of "please give use better/longer/with bangs hairstyles
) is that is very human style.
I can't really see my Qunari and Elf wearing something so culturally human. really, we can use almost every kind of elven/qunari/dwarf/andrastian/tevinter/and so on things to personalyze our fortress, but we ourself, even if we are devoted antiandrastian can't wear nothing different. Disappointing, to say the least. ![]()
The other issue I see, if we wear our armour on the throne, I'm sure the very mannish poses the female character have would seem more tuned down. But with the PJ is quite frankly, just ridicolous.

They are your underwear. When you're out in the world, take off all your armor and then look at yourself. You'll be wearing your Skyhold outfit. Which makes it even more baffling... why can't they give us proper underwear? Are we being afraid of a little skin now?

I'm sure someone got offended years ago because the clothing under characters' armor was too revealing and/or impractical.

It's particular jarring when you're passing judgment on a fully-plate-mail-head-to-toe armoured NPC. The prisoner is in chains, on his knees, begging for his life... but is obviously the most heavily armoured person in the entire hall. Josephine has only her iWick candlepad to protect her, and all I have is my elaborate PJs; the prisoner only needs to fall over on to us, to kill us.
Being armed to the teeth to protect yourself from an impotent, chained person projects so much confidence ![]()

On the bright side some of the people working on getting mods working have managed to get recolours/retextures of the jammies working.

I also like that the Inquisitor has a relaxed approach and prefers working from home.
I mean, if I could get away without having to put on a suit or uniform every day, I'd damn well do it. Don't like it? Speak to the Hand. You know, the glowy one of doom.

I thought this thread was actually about real people wearing their pajamas while judging people.
I thought "oh sweet, a bunch of people I can relate to".
Imagine my disappointment.

I would love to see some casaul themed clothes, rather then placing an option to show armor. It would be not only be more creative, but realistic, because knights/soldiers in medieval times often didn't wear armor very often (it was often removed, when not in battle, or on duty). Knights often didn't wear heavy armor, much of the time, even moreso then soldiers, since the armor was not only heavy, but could get very heated inside.
So my overall suggestion is Themed Regalias!
For example:
Noble Ruler's outfit- You'll look like a king/queen in these majestic robes.
Templar outfit- a formal uniform befitting that of a knight commander (not armor, more of a cloth/leather based attire).
Mage Outfit- A formal uniform befitting that of a Arch-Mage.
Some other outfis could be racial based outfits, like formal Dalish or Dwarven outfits, etc.

Come on people!
The outfit worn at Skyhold is casual wear. Relaxed clothing. Not a PJ...
But apart from that I would prefere a lot more options for dressing as I see fit. Luckily a modding community is building. I hope they get pass the tasks and find a way to let us have more options.

It's so exciting to be in underwear all the time... should be called naked, since you can't be more naked than that. Please also force us to wear specific items on the other maps too. The future lies in innovation and "artistic integrity", the old customize your role-playing gears and stats should slowly go away. Those who don't like it, just go and play a Skyrim mod, perverts. Proper outfit is the way to go, same one day and night, like in a prison. It's a war game, RP needs more discipline.

I'm holding out some hope for swappable outfits, like Mass Effect.
Along with something that let's us change our appearance (they did say they want that in, they just didn't have the time to get it in before launch, so... here's to hope).
They could literally run it like they do the casual outfits in Mass Effect.
A few ones that are formal and directly related to the Inquisition and looking fanciful/intimidating, then some more casual stuff that's more run-of-the-mill but still shooting for particular casual themes, like this outfit is what a mage or a rogue would wear when out of armor, with varying levels of casualness (we'd need the fantasy equivalent of that one outfit from ME2 that's the orange vest, brown pants, and arms wrapped in electrical tape).
Or, y'know, they could just let us turn on Formal Wear in Skyhold.
Since it's literally a million times more professional and intimidating and proper than the jammers, and is also already sculpted and rigged for every race and gender.
Or even, and I know this is a wild thought, let us keep our armor on. We keep our armor on for virtually all of Haven except the War Room. There's really no reason why we would suddenly stop wearing our armor just cause we've got a castle instead of a tiny, tiny village.
