If he is a Warden he replaces Stroud/Logian 's role.
LOTS of content.
This. You can hardly expect every decision you make regarding him to be catered for in game. If you want to see him/ interact with him, keep him in the wardens.

It's disappointing though to have to change my entire backstory just to see him, or side with the mages which is a terrible idea lol
I'm lucky the keep exists, pretty sure in all my playthroughs Alistair is king because that seems like the ultimate choice rather than him just forgetting his birthright and staying with the wardens.
Does he show up at all if you left him a wandering drunkard?
The King Alistair and Queen Anora cameo was pretty funny it just seemed sort of out of place. They show up and it's like "You Mages have been very very naughty and you will get a good spanking if i have my way" Then they just leave XD. But yes other choices get more for Alistair fans.

But where is my "swooping is bad"?
Technically he swooped in out of nowhere this time. XD
everyone put AListair on the throne in Origins only to become queen....
he is better in the wardens.

And be sacrificed in the fade instead. ![]()
I know right! Remember when Cullen was being a little puss puss in the circle of magi and had the Nsync hair? Over a decade later and he's got all dapper and Alistair's lost his groovy quiff.
Maybe Cullen just aged better. He probably has a night time ritual with his fancy face creams. ![]()

Oh, they really show up together? Good, now I can happily change my canon to them ruling together; I was worried they'd ignore Anora in favor of Alistair, like in DA2.
But yeah, I agree, the Redcliffe cameo is sort of comical.
