Why did we get a stupid lousy painting of Oghren's concept art which can be seen near the bar at the Hanged Man in DA2 and not even a freaking reference to his entire existence in that game? What the hell gives?!! Bioware could have made him a stinking cameo just like, Wynne, Nate Howe, Zevran, ect. Oghren could have given us an update on how his new wife Felsi and kid are doing. (if persuaded to be part of their lives) and so on. It all begs the question, why wasn't Oghren in or even at the very least mentioned in DA:I game and DA2 then?

I was very disappointed that they got rid of Oghren in favor of Varric. Oghren was just as capable of telling a story as Varric is. In fact, having a drunken Oghren telling the story of The Champion would have been hilarious. Oghren is very much missed by me. He was a legend in his own mind and utterly hilarious. It's a shame Varric is being carried through to Inquisition instead of Oghren, who I actually cared about more then Varric. I really need some closure on Oghren, he was my favorite companion in Origins and Awakening.

He's part of the Keep, so you can bet he'll be brought back in sooner or later. Either him or his son. Much like many of the other choices on the Keep, not all of them are meant to appear in Inquisition. It's simply a new main hub for Bioware to regulate and potentially fix the import issues that have happened in the past.

Might be he shows up in a DLC or expansion. Or maybe he got cut from the game too.

It was bad enough that we got a stupid lousy painting of Oghren's concept art which can be seen near the bar at the Hanged Man in DA2 and not even a freaking reference to his entire existence in that game as well as here in DA:I. I mean it felt like a complete rip off of not knowing anything about Oghren's fate.

To be fair, only Anders knows Oghren, of all the characters in DA2. So there really wasn't any need to involve anything about the fellow in that game.

DLC is my bet as well.

There would be no reason to have your choices regarding Oghren in the Keep unless something was planned for him. He is probably going to get either a cameo or a starring role in one of the planned DLCs.

Even so, did Oghren go with the rest of the southern wardens to Adamant? If so shouldn't he at least have made a cameo of sorts? Is he already dead by the battle of Adamant? Or did he go with your Warden to find a cure for the calling? As i said, I really need some closure on Oghren, he was my favorite companion in Origins and Awakening.

Oghren is a Warden, though. stationed in Ferelden, so he doesn't tie into the main plot in DA:I very well. Then again neither does Blackwall, I guess. Maybe they could have replaced him with Oghren, I dunno. I like both of them.

Sure, some more closure would be nice. But it doesn't have to happen in this game. I mean, everyone has some favorite they feel need more closure and such. And that is perfectly understandable. But lets say Bioware does this. They add closure for all of the DA:O and DA2 characters in this game. What is left for the next one?

Also they may not do this because they have plans for certain characters in the future. Wich, since Oghren is featured in the Keep, might well be the case here.

But why did they excluded Oghren in DA2 and DA:I and not make a freaking reference to his entire existence in those games?

No.

They have already stated that not all keep choices will be used for inqusition at all. Unless you think we'll have a dlc about Bella or the starving ostagar soldier, chances are they're being saved for another game.

A DLC about the Wardens. Howe and Oghren are both wardens, and they are also both refferenced in The Keep.

Even if Oghren can't make a cameo in DA2 or Inquisition. He should even at the very least be mentioned just like your warden.

Why? I mean, why him and not Shale or Sigrun? Or Wynne, for that matter.

Wynne is dead according to DA: Asunder novel

the book isn't canon, though. But even if it was, Cole should have mentioned both her and Shale.

It better not be. I loved Wynne, she was the the party mother. Can't just kill her in a book and never mention her again

I was actually happy with the closure from my Oghren he reunited with Felsi at the end of awakening, some characters I don't mind not coming back. A reference here or there wouldn't go amiss related to what they are doing now. Even a 'Oghren is happy and drunk still' would have been nice.

Maybe David Gaider forgot to address this?  :?

I agree. Killing off an important character like that, in some very optional book, was a bad move. Felt like she got tossed out like trash, in a way.

That doesn't mean I think the book was trash, or anything. I liked it. It was just the method that didn't sit right with me.

I don't see reason why it isn't that he is divine or leader of nation , the warden is world famous hero and we have only few mentions and still mostly by peoples that knew him.

Well books are canon (in certain way they just follow certain scenario for example wynne alive) so asunder events are real but if you killed wynne in your world state story went in different way as in your "universe" she was dead.

Who could play the game and not have Oghren as a favorite companion? Almost every time he spoke, I laughed. Heck, had my Hero been a couple of feet shorter, I would have wanted to romance the guy, that's how funny I found him. He was even better as a Warden! That scene of his drinking that entire goblet of Darkspawn blood, instead of little bit he was supposed to drink, then having his eyes go white, followed by his burping in his Oghren way, was absolutely hilarious. He was the Chuck Norris of the Bunch.

It's bad enough that Anders sense of humor had been completely stripped from him in DA2, but to top it all off by not carrying forth with Oghren in these games is adding insult to injury.
