My character just hit level 12 and I got this quest that says I need to seek out trainers on the war map.  However, when I go to the war room in the keep, I don't see anything on the map that mentions anything about specializations.  From what I've read, some trainers are supposed to come to the keep for me to speak to but I don't see them around either.  Am I missing something here?  What should I be doing to get this in motion?

Thanks!

I believe you need to have unlocked Skyhold for the pin to show on the map.  It will be on the Ferelden side, iirc.

Yeah, it is a mission on the war table, I think it´s on the north-west of Ferelden, and only Cullen can complete it.

It unlocked for me once Shyhold was repaired. Its a mission on the war table called "Specialization for the Inquisitor" located on the west side of the ferelden map and I believe the advisor required for the mission depends on your class, Josie for mages, Liliana for rogues and Cullen for warriors.

Once you have done the war map mission, the trainers will appear in the lower courtyard. Talk to them, and they will give you a list of ingredients: regular crafting materials, three unique items and the training manual.

The unique items will drop from enemies in a specific area. For example Rift Mage items are found in the Exalted Plains, while Knight Enchanter items are found in the Fallow Mire. The quest log will tell you the specific area.

The manual can be found near the companion who has that particular specialization (nine companions each having a specific specialization). For example, Dorian for Necromancer, Varric for Artificer and so on. If you didn't recruit that companion, the book can be bought at Val Royeaux.
