Need some clarifications.  I feel somewhat dyslexic thinking about this, and it's probably completely obvious, so feel free to clear things up for the cripple here.

 

 

What is better for a mage?

 

The description implies BOTH increase attack damage.  Do they increase attack damage equally?  And does that bonus apply to both auto attacks and spell damage?

 

 

If they are equal in power in terms of attack damage increases, is the only real advantage of magic more damage done against enemies using a barrier?  That's it?

 

 

 

Is that really preferable to more magic defense?

Yep, Willpower is better. It increases all attack, and it seems to do so at the same rate as Magic.

I believe this can help you out alot.

Willpower increases attack 0.5% and magic defense 0.5%

Magic increases attack 0.5% and barrier damage bonus 1%

 

Considering barrier bonus is useless because of dispel it's clearly better to go with willpower.
