Couldn't really find any relevant topics less than a year old, so let's see if anyone is into a discussion.

In awakening, we learned that iron, veridium, and silverite comes in natural forms.  Dragonbone/drakescale is obvious too.  Still is an alloy, rough and cured leather are fairly straightforward if you know the basics of leathworking.  Inscribed is obviously runed and quality leather, and other such.

With that out of the way, my innitial query is this: Assuming those 3 metals form the basis for other materials in the basic game, and are of varying rarity and quality for things(Veridium likely has more flex than steel without outright deforming or dropping resistant.  Silverite presumably can be forged into high quality weapons that are light and sharp, and armor that is resistant to most cutting blows while not being as encumbering as similar strength steel), what exactly is the situation with mining and production of them?

If we look at awakenings, you find and get armor made of silverite, veridium, and iron.  Iron would presumably be left to untrained peasant levies given swords and (maybe) armor made primarily by training apprentice smiths   Silverite in the end was said to go to the knighthood, the various lords and ladies who, for the most part, would have sworn service due to their own families low status and inability to readily support their children from what I've gathered.  I'd presume this leaves veridium, a mid range material to equip the regulars with common armor as medium infantry so to speak.  But I'm curious what other people think: is silverite not so much rare as hard to produce quality?  Is veridium nothing more than a limited supply and secondary option for elites?  Or any other possible paths this could take.
