I spent a good 20 minutes considering the choice for Cole (his special mission). I haven't played a game that much made me pause in a long while.
Thanks for a game (which I haven't finished yet) filled with memorable characters for whom I look forward having along and exploring. It's on par with Fallout2.
Thanks for a game that is what it was billed as, one with a gorgeous open world and a story. Thanks for ambient sounds that make sense, although I still think most modern games still don't consider enemy AI generated sound enough. A huge beast or knight would produce a lot of clanking, rustling and crashing foot fall effects.
My quibbles: tactical camera is marred. Terrain interferes with it (eg trees block your view) and it's messy to control (ps4). Characters don't smoothly revive other party members when commanded, and an engagement option, like snipe/close in upon would have been nice (or the fact their weapon should dictate strategy). Generally, I have let the AI run free and pause only now and then to guzzle a potion or chuck a grenade. Anything more is a hassle.
Is everything wet covered in a thin sheet of ice? How come all the cool looking armor is on AI? The metal shaders for a lot of gear is greasy looking, and I could hope for some better choice of head gear styles.
War room map pins should convey more info. They are too similar looking regarding state or their type. Codex as cards means that they are not organized meaningfully and its a ****** to find a specific piece of info.
A thank you and some thoughts.
