I am not going to comment on this, mainly because I know I am biased against Joe. He is not a reviewer in my eyes, but an entertainer first.

The review itself was ok, but incomplete. He missed the mark on the multiplayer by giving it a cursory glance, didnt discuss issues the game may have, and i'm not talking about bugs in this case, and it's long winded and full of his shtick.

I can't complain about the review itself, but it's not really much of review in the end to me, just another entertaining video from a producer.

yea, because you don't agree with him it's a massive conspiracy and his opinions are completely and utterly false, you have libelled him like this again and again, an every time fail utterly to back up your claims.  You can be honest: How much are Ubisoft paying you for this?  I mean you cannot honestly believe what you say so their has to be a reason for it

Or does that rule only apply to AngryJoe?

Personally I have no idea what you are talking about but as for why I think Joe is dishonest it has nothing to do with whether or not I agree with the scores he give, I just need to watch his reviews to see that he is dishonest. You can see it in his reviews how he rambles on constantly without really saying anything. He doesn't really say why certain features are good, he merely says that they are there and they are good and throws in a couple of buzzwords without really knowing what they mean in an effort to convince his fanbase he knows what he is talking about, you can usually predict what Joe is going to say about the game by listening to what his fans are already saying about the game as his reviews do little more than regurgitate the popular opinion of his fans while pretending it is his own.

Agreed. Consumer good will is a currency, one you should not wager upon when you've already lost a good amount to your own hubris. I'm fine with multiplayer being in the game, but with a mobile game infer-structure? When you're trying to bring Dragon Age back into the good graces of a good chunk of your fanbase that is the stupidest choice you could have made.

Meh, most players really couldn't care less about Multiplayer in Dragon Age. ME3's was okay, but I didn't play too much of it.

All in all quite a bit too flowery and also forgiving review (not saying that it's a bad game at all here, but there would have been at least 10 more points he could have mentioned).

Also a shitload of spoilers. I'm glad I already finished the game.

I absolutely 100% agree on the fact that whatever you do with your companions and especially Skyhold, is eventually completely irrelevant as they are never put to the test as in Awakening or ME2. Both were much better than DA:I in that regard (I still remember how I just had to find those better metals so I could outfit my Warden soldiers with better weapons etc)

I don't agree with his MP assessment. It looks like he did not actually spend any amount of time to understand it.

Angry Joe's opinion on MP is based on the microtransactions which is a feature he dislike very much (he complains about that in every game that has microtransactions).

About the spoilers, he mentions that in the beginning of the video so viewers are warned :P

By the way I agree with you about the the keep upgrades ;)

By the way I agree with you about the the keep upgrades ;)

The Keep upgrades remind me of NWN2, particularly the one about the tower. However, at least in NWN2 you had more of them and could use your hard-earned money to fund these projects instead of having to scout for resources.

And, maybe not so important for most of us, but as a mage, I had similar problems regarding armor set crafting. Also for warriors, not that many options actually... remember how freakishly huge and impressive those armors could get in DA:O? I almost had the feeling that the DA setting reverted backwards in terms of warfare technologies. Another indicator are the Inquisition soldiers. The really don't look like much, especially compared with the Templars. Remember their shields? The looked like from the 9th century, Europe.

Youtube comments never dissapoint. Of course it's all whining about how LGBT dare exist in a game.

No one cares what he thinks. How he is anymore important then the hundreds of other people on you tube who review the game or hundreds of others articles that write about this game. The fact you like him, does not make him special. It's a shame you opened up a thread solely based on what this guy thinks. I think alot of people simply don't care.

Normally I don't agree with him or like his reviews, but I have to admit I actually found this one to be very entertaining, it made me laugh in a few parts, and to be honest I agree with him with most of his points...including his rating for the console. As I don't have the PC version, I can't comment.Yes his opinion isn't anymore important than anybody elses opinion, but it was a good review in my opinion nonetheless. :-). Definitely the only review since release that I could manage to watch that was more than say 10 minutes. Normally anything longer I skip ahead to the end.

Many people will be very disappointed since he thinks the controls are OK.

Was never going to touch it with a ten foot pole, but I never imagined it was THAT bad. Holy **** EA, what the hell were you thinking?

My guess? Bioware needs a multiplayer option so EA would allow them to produce the game. So they came up with some passing idea. EA tries WAY too hard to FORCE mmo components on developers. If they don't want crappy mutliplayer options stop forcing developers to include **** they don't want too. Stupid EA. /end rant

I can't believe how high people score this game and DA2 lol. Wow.

My scores:
DAO 8/10. The controls are awful. I played this on Xbox and PC. Hated the controls regardless. Few minor things that annoyed me like the fade....>.>

DA2 6/10. Average game. I enjoyed the story, but CC was terrible. Choices made no difference, story the same either way. Hated Carver.

DAI 7/10. Not enough main story. The side quests don't add enough to the main story and seem rather divorced from it. Which means the main story isn't being padded enough by those side quests. The romances seem pretty decent once into the game. The power mechanism while seems cool kind of blah. We don't spend it enough and it ends up just collecting...it'd be nice to spend this on something. This reminds me of how off the pacing is the beginning is slow and the power gain is decent, but not overwhelming. Then as soon as you get to skyhold you have so much power coming out of your arse you don't know what to do with it. More story main quests and elements would've slowed down that pace a bit.Terrible HAIR seriously this really annoying and to be honest I want more than a color wheel it is rather difficult for example to get a nice hue of brown that doesn't look too dark or light. I'd love it if we could add in our own hex codes. Oh yeah and have codes like ME so I can decide to keep a face for another run if I want or give it to a friend for their game. In short decent, but could've used more development time.

*Note I focus on what I hate about a game when scoring, that's just my style. Obviously I enjoyed enough elements as I didn't give it a negative score*

I'll never understand why people put any faith in youtube reviewers opinions.  And then to debate the validity of them lol.

"I like mushrooms"

"No mushrooms are gross"

"You're wrong, they're awesome"

etc. etc. etc.

Why not just watch a few gameplay vids and decide for yourself?  There are hours upon hours of streams on youtube of this game.  No need for some chubby douche pretending to be hip to spew random opinions at you.  Be a critical thinker and decide for yourself.

9 out of 10 is a fair score.

Maybe with better PC controls a 10. In any event, DAI is an awesome game!

DA:O -9.5, if the graphics were a little better this would have got a 10!
DA2 - 6.5, average at best. It isn't a bad game imo.
DA:I - 9, a great game and if only the main story was a little longer and less collecting bear claws.

If were really going to start rating all the games...

Honestly, id put them all at a 8. All three. Each has a number of flaws, another of high points, low points, but overall, they are memorable experiences.

Risen 2 is a better RPG than Dragon Age: Inquisition, and Angry Joe slated that. I haven't watched a single video of his since he got that so wrong.

Oh, and Dragon Age II is the best game in the series. If it wasn't for the recycled areas, i'd give it a ten. As it is, it's an 8. Origins is also an 8. Inquisition a 7, as a result of its poorly written protagonist, dull side content and disappointing finale.
