IM lost here.. I completed the researchers quests. Killed the dragon ( western approach). He says he will work for inquisition( researcher) is his name frederic? I dont know.. All i see is Find fredric and the quest will not resolve yet until i do. So anyone know where he is? what have i missed. the entire area is done nothing left on it and my war council map has nothing about frederic .. anyway any clue would be helpful thanks

I hovered over my icon for the quest again while in map and it said Quest 1 of 2 .. Now im completely puzzled I can only think that it has not opened up on the war council. all it says is Find Frederic ( and this is after fighting dragon)

After you fight you put the traps and fight the dragon, did you talk to Frederic at his camp or not?

Yes several times. i keep going back to him ( this is after fighting dragon) I did find that it says complete 2 quests.. well I dont think the quest i need to finish to get to him is even in that zone. Im thinking it just has to be found on war council table. As nothing else makes sense. Apparently I have not finished a 2nd quest what i dont know because i did alls teps up to the dragon then killed the dragon then ran back to him talked to him said hed work for inquisition then nothing.. no hint other than kill more dragons. perhaps kill more dragons is what he wants

I had this problem myself. I think i found a possible solution to the bug. I had found all the research before I spoke to him for the first time, and this bug cropped up for me. After I reloadedan earlier save, I made sure to exit the first conversation with him, then spoke to him a second time to hand in his missing stuff.
Don't know if this'll help anyone else, but it worked for me.

Same problem here. Found most of the research (if not all) before I spoke to him for the first time. Problem is, I've put too much time since I started the western approach to reload an earlier save. A patch on this bugged quest in the "patch 3" would be much appreciated

This works.
I specifically remember the first thing I said to him when I met him was 'hey i have your crap'.
I reloaded to before I met him. Rode down, started convo and immediately said 'bye'.
'find frederick' quest cleared and 'frederic's livelihood' replaced it
aaaand there goes 15 hours of gameplay down the toilet.
/So glad I had to get this on ps4 with limited saves because my i7 dual core wasn't good enough.
