Meh. It's why they invented YouTube.
All things considered, it's probably better if you didn't do the ritual.

I've been a devout Morrigan fanatic and I got the exact same vibe from those revelations. Anyone who didn't go through with it misses some content, but there are some hefty implications for what happened there.

I don't mind implications.
What I got I enjoyed. I enjoyed Morrigan's growth greatly for one. I mean, she grew greatly during the story of origins anyway if you decided to romance her (which I think is a bit of a failing in hindsight, that characters only really evolved when romanced, with the exception of hardening Leliana and/or Alistair) but this was a great piece of writing imo
Couldn't you just make a twitter account instead of not making a useless tweet post ?
You ain't being constructive at all.
Well, despite being in the spoilers forum, I'm not really sure if it'll make sense to people who didn't actually go through with the Dark Ritual.
I'm just glad it wasn't my inquisitor, made that reveal all the more dramatic "*Insert name here*!!!!......Oh sh*t that means!....Orghhh"

On that I can agree. I was glad to see that Morrigan actually became a good mother. I was also glad to see that her son actually meant something to her.
Not really. They just nullified all the effort Morrigan put into the ritual, unless the Old God soul didn't die with Flemeth.
Why are we being cryptic on the spoiler forum? It was such a missed opportunity for me, the 'result' of the ritual has the same name as me, and my warden, so it felt like it was named after me haha. But I romanced Leliana and Alistair did the ritual, so likesay missed opportunity.
Yeah, I wish he had a few more lines. Maybe ask him something about what he sense of the mark. Motherhood really changes Morrigan for the better as well.

Perhaps. I think it was obvious at the time that Morrigan's effort into the soul was largely cooked up by Flemeth in the first place though. Perhaps she continued to go through with it even after Flemeth's possible death simply because she still agreed with the parts she had been told or had formulated on herself. Regardless, I don't think it really matters because in the end she loved/loves Kieran for being her son. In my playthrough, the warden commander pursued her through the mirror anyway so there's a genuine warmth that she feels and is evident in her actions throughout the entire area. Everything screams of her just being a concerned mother and nothing else.

I found Kieran sweet but kinda creepy, exactly what I would expect from any child Morrigan raised.
However, yes, she does seem to be a better mom than Flemeth, though that's hardly saying much. I wonder if Morrigan has the normal child is it the same encounter? I didn't romance her on any of my Keep saves but will have to make one now so I can get that warden-specific dialogue--hate missing ANY content at all.
Though I wasn't a fan of her romance to begin with--I don't do melodramatic angst--I doubt I'd feel much connection to the story anyway if I hadn't actually played it that way.
In which case, I'm better off Utubing it.

From what I understand, the encounter with Flemeth doesn't happen if the child is normal. The game will act in an similar way as if the boy wasn't born. Flemeth is only interested in the boy if he has the soul of an old god.
Yeah, this Morrigan is far better than the Machiavellian pain in the ass we endured in Origins. Cullen isn't even a jerkass anymore either. It's like all the negativity from our allies was sucked out into some kind of awful singularity.
And they named it "Sera."
Sera is cool though
I can't see denying the ritual having any serious or long lasting ramifications simply due to the fact that you can deny it.
Sera wouldn't be cool if you waterboarded her in liquid nitrogen, which is something I want to do.
Well I really enjoyed her.
Spoilers ofc
But doesn't Flemeth just take whatever was inside Morrigan's son anyway? Just making him an average child
Still happy i denied that to Morrigan
Morrigan looking for her son was the one part in the game where I got teary eyed, she is just not the kind of person who would show weakness or be on the verge of tears, seeing that was really powerful. To me anyway.
We dont care about the DR

So you decided to come out here, and be purposely vague about possible spoilers. I'm going go with other person and ask, can't you just make a twitter account and post the critic messages there.
Spoilers ofc

that's not the point of you missing out, it's more seeing Morrigans character grow. Especially if you romanced her and went through the mirror.
and the mission in the fade shows morrigans feelings are in fact genuine. it shows her in such a refreshing light.
yes plot wise i'm sure it won't have drastic earth shattering changes long term for the series but what it does is not only show morrigan's development but also Flemmeth's deeply hidden attachment to morrigan as well. the entire reason she releases the boy and only takes the old god's soul is that morrigan shows she truly loves the boy and is willing to sacrifice her own life to protect him.
If flemmeth was turly uncaring she would have taken the boy, then when you see the ending her words make much more sense to the ending, she KNEW she was going to die this was her goodbye, being a ****** "be released from me forever" was her way of saying it.
It's a change in perspective rather than a new plot point and yes without seeing it. you missed out.
