All things considered, it's probably better if you didn't do the ritual.
Seeing how nothing comes of it... How?

We dont care about the DR and as you can see the US have a greater impact on all the world state even in the story with the DR performed, because 2 dragon age universe cannot exsist the developer find a way to destroy the effect of the DR.
This not the point of the thread, Aren. It's about Morrigan's character development and not the impact of the US.
Morrigan looking for her son was the one part in the game where I got teary eyed, she is just not the kind of person who would show weakness or be on the verge of tears, seeing that was really powerful. To me anyway.
Yeah, when Leliana said Morrigan went bananas, I knew **** had turned serious. I felt kinda happy to see she had gone from turning people into toads to be willing to die for Kieran, but at the same time sad knowing now she was bound to Flemeth.
You missed out.
That's all, and yes I'm purposely being cryptic.
Yeah... missed out on knowing what happens if you DON'T do the ritual because nobody ever posts the NON-Ritual results! ![]()
I predict everyone will want to burn me on a stake...
But I prefer the pacing of the scene in the forest that occurs when you didn't do the dark ritual.
The reveal is shocking, I might be repeating myself, but the pacing was so great.Maybe I'm just biased because I experienced that scene first.
The enitre "Only a willing body can be possesed, you were never in any danger, Morrigan" felt as if it was dilivered so much better at the shrine scene.
Though the one with Keiran was also very emotional and awesome!

You get an awesome scene at the shrine of Mythal in the Arbor Wilds and then you tame a dragon there ![]()
I just wish it was a daughter.
Don't mind missing content - I have serious issues with using childbirth as currency.
that's not the point of you missing out, it's more seeing Morrigans character grow. Especially if you romanced her and went through the mirror.
and the mission in the fade shows morrigans feelings are in fact genuine. it shows her in such a refreshing light.
yes plot wise i'm sure it won't have drastic earth shattering changes long term for the series but what it does is not only show morrigan's development but also Flemmeth's deeply hidden attachment to morrigan as well. the entire reason she releases the boy and only takes the old god's soul is that morrigan shows she truly loves the boy and is willing to sacrifice her own life to protect him.
If flemmeth was turly uncaring she would have taken the boy, then when you see the ending her words make much more sense to the ending, she KNEW she was going to die this was her goodbye, being a ****** "be released from me forever" was her way of saying it.
It's a change in perspective rather than a new plot point and yes without seeing it. you missed out.
I really enjoyed the story better when Morrigan had the old god child. She turned out to be a surprisingly loving mother and it was nice to see this soft and loving version of her.
I didn't do the DR but still romanced morrigan so Kieran showed up. I saw his OGB cameo and it was actually different from the normal one. He was cryptic in the OGB one and definetly a little creepy, but in mine he was a normal boy and acted like one, saying that my qunari was OK but his horns were scary (even though he sawed them off....) I love the attention to detail there, and it still showed morrigans character development as she spoke with pride about her son. I actually preferred that scene personally, as non OGB kieran is adorable instead of cryptic XD
If Flemeth is involved then it was probably for the best I did the US option. (Is anyone even surprised they had to dampen down the effect of the DR choice? It was clearly going to happen.)
I dont know about everyone else but I feel that not doing the ritual and killing the warden is the best route to have gone. But i'm a sucker for noble sacrifice stories lol.
I always felt that the dark ritual was sort of a betrayal to what the Grey Wardens were and that saving Logain and allowing him to live over the Warden gave him a longer chance to redeem what he done. (There is no easy way out!) That is also why I am conflicted about killing him off in DA:I
I mean honestly I feel Logain has a potential for a really great drawn out redemption story even if it can only take place in my own head lol.

Even if Loghain live, he still despise by his fellow Wardens and the only redemption in him is death.

To me she is not dead, beside You do not need the DR to create Kieran and to see the new Morrigan.
Aniway the US of Origins is usless now, the US is the only way to end the Warden's story, now many players will never stop to ask about their warden.

So you decided to come out here, and be purposely vague about possible spoilers. I'm going go with other person and ask, can't you just make a twitter account and post the critic messages there.
Sure. I'll answer: No.
The whole point was to make you think 'gee, what could I have missed' and go do something about it, as opposed to being spoonfed all the time.
I'm sorry, I thought people actually wanted to play the game as opposed to having people just tell you some bits and pieces.
eh i denied her in DAO of power she obviously seeks for herself, and denied her again of drinking of the well in DAI because she still seems power hungry.
Morrigan kinda creeped me out in DA:I at first... I kept waiting for her to make soul-burning snipes at me or kick a puppy, but she was so... so... polite! And civil! And pleasant! I didn't know whether to find it refreshing or stay ten paces back from her at all times. I honestly found her hard to trust because of it.
Her scene in the Fade was a real eye-opener, though. What great character growth.
Sera is cool though
She is proof of when someone is trying to do something new with character and yet fail to recognize that it´s totally messed up. I would say that it´s either way it´s very bad writing or Sera is simply put a psychopath. Jack as a character was lot better, even for a messed up psycho, but Sera´s tantrum after that she killed that guy was disturbing as ****, as also Iron bull´s sexual references...

I'll answer this not much.

i cannot find this scene with the normal kieran.....
I didn't miss a thing. Any perspective you think you may have gained, I gained 1000x with the US ending, or by allowing Loghain to redeem himself. The only thing I got out of the DR was 1 million threads about when the Warden's going to come back, and a 24 hour ban for pointing out to one of them that the Warden wasn't going to be in the game, no matter how many times they posted saying he/she was. So yeah, I didn't miss a thing.
Best of both worlds was my first import, where Loghain died to redeem himself and Morrigan had a child with her husband the Warden. You can see her growth as a character from motherhood, while getting the more suspenseful non-DR version of the Flemeth scene. I'm doing a character now with a DR import, so I'm looking forward to seeing how that goes.
